Is your Bios set in Legacy mode for the GPU (Legacy Option ROM) or UEFI and is CSM Enabled or Disabled?
CSM Enabled Windows 7 & Legacy for the GPU
    CSM Disabled Windows 10

I'd recommend testing the 1080 in another system to see if you can replicate the code 43 issue. Take the 1080 to a local computer repair shop if you don't have another pc to test with.

Did I see you are not using UEFI / GPT and you have a 1 TeraByte HDD?  I did not think BIOS would handle that big of HDD..

I am using 500GB SSD Drives fine with UEFI and Windows 10.
Any Update to your Code 43 Problem?

Is your Error Code 43 Gone now?
So then you have CSM Enabled or Disabled in the BIOS?

You will have to start over and Wipe your Dives and Install a Fresh Windows 10 Install. See FAQ http://www.evga.com/support/faq/?f=59616

    1. Set CSM Support to "Disabled" under Boot > CSM Configuration
    or
    2. Leave CSM Support enabled, then set Storage to "UEFI"

    Convert MBR to EUFI GPT
Type diskpart and hit enter. Type list disk and hit enter. Take note of the disk # of your primary drive that you'll install Windows on. Type select disk x where "x" is that disk number and hit enter. Type clean and hit enter to delete all partitions on the disk. Type convert gpt and hit enter to make the disk a GPT disk. Type exit and hit enter.
I moved / backed up all my info to another disk. Then unplugged them to make sure.  Then Installed Win 10 on the UEFI GPT disk.  Now what I have is only the boot disk using GPT; the other 3 are Dynamic disks I am assuming by following the above for any other disk would convert them if so desired.  I do not have that big of disk on my system.  Remember to back up as you proceed.
