Ok, so I have both a CLC-280 and the DG-77 case. Both require a USB 2.0 header to allow control via software, however my motherboard only has one internal USB 2.0 header. Do any of you guys have a recommendation for a possible solution other than a new motherboard, cause that would be a near complete rebuild for me.

I recently built a plex server.   Similar.  I used the corsair H110i for it.   The OS I am using, UNRAID, has no software control for the H110i.  So a work around for me was to boot up windows on another drive.  Set the leds, like I wanted them to be and saved it to the H110i.  That way the software control is on the device.  So, in your case, why don't you plug in the CLC-280.  Set it like you want it.  Does it have the ability to save settings to device?  if so, do that and then unplug it and plug in the DG-77 usb header.   It's a work around.  otherwise, you can get a usb PCI card if you have a free slot.

I might give that a try, but in the other direction. The CLC-280 offers statistics about temps, pump, and fan speed, so I want that running at all times.

You can get things like a Y Splitter Cable or an Extension Cable Card or a Header Splitter that should do the trick inexpensively.

You can search around more, that's just what I found.

I looked at that at Microcenter today, but it's more than I need and I didn't want to pay that much.

I had found the second one you posted earlier as well. I think that's the one I'm going with. Thanks guys.
