1. Doesn't matter..But I would use the pump header, that's what it's for and should be configured by default to run a pump..Only thing is, is that you might get a CPU fan error during POST because no CPU fan speed is detected and it will halt right and go no further there unless you can set the CPU fan header to Disabled or Ignore in the BIOS..If there's no setting to Disabled or Ignore CPU fan speed and you get an error, then you'll need to connect the pump to the CPU fan header.
2. If nothing's plugged into the CPU fan header, it's N/A..If nothing's plugged into the Pump header, it's N/A..See 4 below.
3. Yes and yes..The USB cable is for Flow Control Pump/Fan/RGB control.
4. Yes..You need to be sure the header you use to power the pump is set to 100% and it doesn't matter if it's set to DC or PWM Mode.
