I received my 3080 hybrid today.  However, as I was mounting the radiator, it seems I got a corner of one cable caught between the radiator and fan and then tightened it down, ripping a hole into the power cable.  I'd like to obtain a new fan to match the other one, but on the EVGA website I can't find the fans for sale.  Is it possible to buy a replacement fan?

If I had to replace a fan, I would just upgrade the fans all together, maybe with some high static pressure noctua's.

+1 on Noctua. Switched to them from Corsair and couldn't be happier. They make a great hoodie too!

I'm a big fan of the corsair ML fans. Have the nzxt Z73 with a pull setup with ML's on one side to suck air, and QL's on the other side for display/pull the air through the radiator. Was considering using a couple of those for this 3090 ftw hybrid radiator since I top mounted it.

Which Corsair did you use and what exactly made you happier with Noctua. Thanks.

I'm cheap and I ended up throwing a spare XSPC radiator fan that came with a watercooling kit onto it.

I use two Corsair ML120 fans. Will eventually go push/pull when I get the correct screws to mount them in my case. Much better static pressure at 2400 RPM than anything else I've seen, and they aren't extremely annoying at max RPM either. Amazon has a two back for 30 bucks.

This hybrid 3080 is just a stepping stone for me until I get a hydrcool.  I have a 2x480 Alphacool UT60 radiator setup that's doing nothing except cooling my cpu!  Just waiting for those damn hydrocools to show up.  This tiny little 240mm radiator of the hybrid has a fraction of the cooling power.  Trying not to spend any extra money on this hybrid.

I used the Corsair ML120 fans before on a 2080 ti and I just didnt like the noise from them after some time, i feel like they change over time if that makes any sense. Ive even had to switch out some I was using as case fans. I found that the Nidec Servo GentleTyphoon 120mm 2150 4pin PWM version fans do really well and have much less noise even at max rpm, its a more pleasing mid range tone at max rpm to me than the ML120 which is more mid-high range to my ears.

I switched over to the GentleTyphoon's on the 3090 hybrid and i saw a reduction in temps, it doesnt get over 60c anymore as it did with the stock EVGA ones, and thats with just the default fan profile, mild oc, and on oc bios for the 3090 ultra.

ML's are awful in terms of noise. Noctua 12x25 are GOAT so far.

Hope I can jump on the replacement train with a suggestion, the Arctic p12 are really nice for the price if you don't mind not having RGB. Performance gets close to the noctua at a fraction of the price, and you can daisy chain up to three of them for synced performance. I have a couple and am very pleased with them. Have used them for the builds I do for other people as well when budget is a constraint.

No clue what I'm doing, but having fun trying to do it!

You'd probably have to be doing something wrong or got bad fans. The MLs have better CFM and noise than the Noctua rivals they compete against.

It helps to look at a review either of or including the specific fan being mentioned.  The NF-A12x25 does in fact beat the noise of the ML120 and other Corsair competitors measured in TPU's review, but it's up to you if the extra cost is worth it.  Too bad they haven't done the Arctics ...

Good point, I was indeed talking about the NF-F12, the ones that the ML are meant to compete against.

    Nice references to tests. Thanks.
Sounds like ML120 PRO RGB is a good choice esp. if you need some fancy lighting. Under load most noise is coming not from fans but from air whooshing through the radiator fins. so few DB higher/lower is just splitting hairs.
Do we have PWM fan connectors on Hybrid or you need adapter?

There is PWM on the card itself as well as aRGB, but i prefer to connect my fans and rgb to the motherboard as it can draw 10-12W away from the GPU with the way I have it setup, push-pull with ML120s.

Are Gentle Typhoons still top of the line for radiators nowadays?  I bought 8 Gentle Typhoons in 2013 when I built my watercooling rig, and back then they were definitely the best.  However, I figure technology has advanced and there are better fans now.  Maybe I'm wrong?  Also, I know that the Gentle Typhoons produced back in the day by Scythe are no more since the Scythe/Nidec partnership ended.  Yes, Nidec made their own version of Gentle Typhoons but I don't believe they're exactly the same.

I dont know about top of the line, id say theres probably more fans out there now that move more air through a rad but at a much higher noise level than the typhoons do. I dont play games with headphones on so a quiet system is important to me. Other higher performing fans spin at higher rpms so thats another reason they could be better. For the typhoons the noise to performance ratio at max speed is pretty good to me.

The seller(coolerguys) i bought them from on Amazon said they get them direct from Nidec, that was 3 years ago they said that but I assume nothing has changed but who knows, they look legit.

Hey, if anyone has the RGB fans off their eVGA kit they don't want, I'll buy a pair of them...I don't care about noise and I need a 3rd one
