I have had this EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC Ultra for about a week and I'm experiencing artifacting since day one.
Every game I go into freezes after less than 5min of gameplay. Watchdog 1, Assassin's creed 4 and Odyssey, Destiny 2, etc.
I tried the different troubleshooting method from the EVGA forum. The "underclocking" was able to extend the gameplay to about 5min, then artifacting still happened.
All drivers are up to date, BIOS is up to date, Windows 10 is up to date, etc.
I don't like the idea of "underclocking" the card anyways, because I paid $2000 Cdn to buy this OC card for the sole purpose of overclocking it.

I spent the last 4 days doing extensive research on the solutions, but so far nothing works.

Anyone found a solution yet?

Believe me, I really really don't want to RMA it. Who doesn't want to hope for the best and keep the card for gaming? Especially when Anthem is coming out soon. Sigh....I feel so disappointed....

If you can tell us what hasn't worked then we could better help, but usually such artifacting is a sign the card is in need of RMA.  I see you tried underclocking it, but beyond that what have you tried?

I tried using the DDU to uninstall all display driver, then re-install the Nvidia driver using custom installation and install only the GPU driver and the PhyX.
Basically, i tried all methods suggested in the EVGA 20-series forum.
Outside that, I tried powering the GPU using two separate PCI-E cables.
I tried opening up a registry file in the registry editor (suggested by someone on youtube who got nearly 1k likes for solving some game crashes)
I also tried uninstalling some non-nvidia audio drivers that some EVGA staffs suggested
I tried some system scan and some other commands that i forgot in the cmd
I've tried so many weird things and none of those worked.

OH i totally hear ya.  Not much more frustrating that getting a shiny new toy only to find out it's broken.  Once dropped a new CPU into it's socket...literally.  Bent the pins in the MB beyond repair.  Just happened to be one of the 4 sockets in a new server.  My wife thought she had heard every curse word there was until that point...

Hope your RMA goes smoothly.  EVGA has always been great to deal with to me.

    Sorry to hear that, mate.
I definitely hope things go smoothly. I own two EVGA gtx 770 2gb to do SLi on my older system, and they've been always been working perfectly for almost 6 years. I have faith in EVGA.

Where did you get it from? If it's only one week old you might be quicker returning it to the store in exchange for a new working one rather than arranging an RMA.

Definitely need a replacement card though by the sound of it. RMA or store return I'm afraid.

Get on the RMA carousel my friend. I'm waiting for my fourth RMA card to arrive this week. EVGA has been fine to deal with ... but three cards in a row have failed.

3 Cards on the Same Motherboard and Power Supply?
What Card is this and on what Motherboard with what Power Supply.

yea three cards failed in a row? That's ridiculous!
I bought it from Pipertech through Amazon.ca. They're now sending me the 2nd card.
I plan to give up on this rtx line if this 2nd card doesn't work.
I'd rather spend money on 2 gtx 1080 ti and SLi them instead.

Buying them from a 3rd party so it is a second hard card, you may want to buy only from Amazon.ca
Ships from and sold by Amazon.ca is needed for Full warranty and being able to use the Step-Up Programs and even Extended Warranty.

Nope. The first two on a Z270 build the second two on a Z390 build. All completely different parts.

    @mxchris187  Got it,
Do we have a definitive answer why 1080/2080 cards are failing?
Mixing different cards different motherboard is going to make it hard to help.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread, I've already done the legwork and my own troubleshooting. My issue is clearly the video cards, I essentially built a new PC to prove it.
