Had my card less than a week before i started seeing purple lines going down my screen in a pattern, started right in the middle of a game. GPU runs around 77-81c but that mem runs up to 94c!

I ran one of my games with a HDMI monitor i have as a secondary screen for stats instead of my main display port one and yes the problem is still there.

That's what i figured. One of the reasons i went with EVGA was what i had heard about their customer service from friends and online, guess i get to put it to the test.

I know its been a couple of weeks since you posted.  But I was wondering, did your card have Micron or Samsung memory?

Yeah i honestly forgot to post an update. The RMA went perfectly fine and EVGA gave me no trouble at all in getting a replacement ( i had the advanced RMA option). Haven't had a problem since and the new card is working great after a rocky first time boot up that caused a crash. I went with EVGA because i'd heard good things with returns and in my case it was true.
