Hello, I noticed a problem with my older install of Precision XOC, it was hogging up almost my entire 12 Gigs of RAM ( not the card's VRAM ). Didn't seem like it used to do that, seems to have started this lately. I was using a program called RamRush which is a Ram memory optimizer and it showed my available RAM go down steady to less that 500Mb in about one minute after bringing up XOC. So then I downloaded the newer X1 to replace XOC, hoping there was just a memory leak with XOC and that X1 would fix the problem. It still happened exactly the same way with X1. I then thought, well maybe Ran Rush, being a third party program of limited fame, was just not reporting my RAM usage correctly or legitimately. So I went into Task Manager ( Windows 10 home ) and looked at the performance tab and it was reporting the same drastic reduction of available system RAM that RamRush was! Proving that it's a real issue on my PC. Anybody have any ideas because I have not noticed anybody else having this issue, either here in this forum or in a general Google search. As soon as I kill either XOC or X1, my available RAM goes back up the around 10 out of 12 gigs. Every single time. No other program that I know of is hogging my memory, my RAM seems normal in performance other than this instance.

I too did see Precision XOC was using more RAM resources than I liked namely PrecisionXServer.exe the OSD. I think the RAM edit: CPU usage was as high as 20% of my 16GB edit: CPU at times so after reading a post by Sajin that renaming would stop and lower XOC's RAM edit: CPU usage I did just that and has been that way for some time now. Ha-ha, and of course I renamed it Sajin. Edit: Yeah don't know why but saw RAM and was thinking CPU. Sorry, but still should take A look with Task Manger at what component of EVGA's software is causing the RAM high usage.

Yeah, I've seen threads here & there about high CPU usage, but in the OP's case, 10GB out of 12GB ram usage. Something way out of the ordinary is going on with his system. Maybe if/when the OP posts back with some more details, it will shed some light on this...

Hi, I'll try to post Speccy specs but I did try the latest Nvidia card drivers ( Nvidia 431.60, not EVGA drivers ) and that did not help. Never have RAM problems with any other software, normally the systems runs great. Sorry I have not got back here in such a long time but I have to do something they call going to W-O-R-K and it takes up a lot of time when you work 12 hours days.

Ok, there you go, two posts with everything in SPECCY except for Network info, which should not matter. If you can't glean enough about my system with those two posts that, well, I truly pity you. So I guess I won't be seeing those smart-alecky, "You didn't tell us enough about your system" posts any more so ha ha ha... As you can see my PC is quit ancient, a Stegosaurus helped me put it together in 2009, at which time most of you were not even born yet. But it was truly a state-of-the-art system in 2009!

Sorry about the original spec posts. I guess when people ask for my specs I feel that more is better than less.

You come off sounding pretty rude in this post and a couple others considering you came here for assistance. Did you even bother trying any of the suggestions offered? If you did, I see no mention of it. Just an FYI...a lot of the members here that offer help are 50+ yrs old with many of us 60+. Good luck to you. Hope you can get your issue resolved...

If you did, I see no mention of it. Just an FYI...a lot of the members here that offer help are 50+ yrs old with many of us 60+. Good luck to you. Hope you can get your issue resolved..." I find it odd anyone on this entire planet would find that post rude. I was just kidding around. A sense of humor is a rare commodity these days I guess!! Maybe it was a feeble attempt at humor but I don't see anything rude about. I've noticed that really easily upset people are found at almost every forum I post in any more. I think a lot of people are actually looking for conflict and a reason to get all riled up. Must be a generational thing maybe? Considering recent generations have groups like Antifa, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I also think since people communicate so much on PCs today and post text messages, it can be a problem because there is no "tone of voice" to indicate someone might just trying to be light-hearted. You see some much rudeness that simply is not there. For one thing, a person would be truly stupid to come into a forum for help only to post something purposely rude or insulting. Perhaps that didn't occur to you? And a "couple of others" might refer to someone attacking me for posting a really large text of my PC specs. I only thought that I was responding to other posts where people were asking for info on my system. I think I have made peace with that person since this morning though. I thought at the time that was some good information.

Bonus info: Antivirus Webroot SecureAnywhere Have you run a full scan of the system recently?
Yep, run 'em all the time. Do MalwareBytes a lot too. I just upgraded to 1809 for Windows 10. Windows updater will not allow me to go to 1903 yet. I seriously have no other problems with ram except for EVGA Precision. XOC used up most of my ram and then I upgraded to X1 and uninstalled XOC. Still does the same thing. Normally running the most intense game I have ( without Precision running ) I never see more than half of my memory used and usually no more than one third.

Can you show us a screenshot of task manager?
You have so far provided no proof that Precision X1 nor XOC are using excessive RAM. By default, Windows tries to utilize all of your RAM all of the time. Perhaps you are making assumptions based on coincidence.
Please show us a screenshot of Windows Task manager where it shows how much memory is being used by Precision.
Thanks!

Yeah open Task Manager again than open Precision X1 than open a game but do NOT open or run RAMRush Edit: which appears to have not been updated since 2013 and it can change the behavior of other programs or manipulate programs also is able to record keyboard and mouse inputs. So adds up to something I would never want to use. Really the best thing to do before someone opens a game is close any open programs than run Disk Cleanup or better yet Ccleaner and that should tidy up system enough for some good gaming. How long has this system been running Windows 10? Is Windows 10 Fast Startup on or off, and if still on how often is the system restarted? Do you showdown the system everyday? Moving to update 1903 will need most if not all of the drivers to be current.

Well I can post a screenshot but I was hoping people would believe what I'm saying is true as there is no reason to lie about something like this. Plus I'm not stupid. I have seen the results in task manager many times. As soon as Precision comes up, the memory graph goes down to almost nothing to the point that if I left Precision on, my PC would probably crash. And as soon as I kill Precision, it goes back up to 9 or 10 out of 12 gigs of ram. There is no coincidence since I have repeated many times and it always does it. Plus I'm not using the RamRush program any more, I uninstalled that, so it is not causing the trouble. So I see no reason to post a screenshot, I'm not a PC noob. Take my word for it. If I posted a screenshot for you I'm sure you would not all of a sudden be able to help me just because you saw for yourself the memory is really being wiped out. Sound more like idle curiosity on your part and lack of respect for what I have stated in these post so far. I need ideas on what it might be, a screenshot is not going to help you figure it out, it would only make you feel better. Take my word for it Precision nose dives my ram usage, period.

Okay lets go a different rout. Uninstall whichever version of Precision you currently have and delete the EVGA folders in c:\program files and c:\program files(x86) than reboot system. After all of that, this time give MSI Afterburner a whirl if only to test this unique high RAM usage believed to be caused by Precision. Edit: Happy to see you kicked RamRush to the curb.

Ok, so, let's pretend that "Google Chrome (10)" in the following screenshot said Precision XOC or X1. See how it displays information? That would sure be nice information to see. Arguing about my intentions sure doesn't help me help you at all. I think that you spent more energy arguing for no reason.

uhhh dude, I was building PCs in the mid nineties, I'm smart enough to have done what you suggested. You apparently think I'm a six year old girl that has to prove that what I claimed is true because you don't believe it or something. Trust me, I saw the amount of memory for myself in task manager a long time ago. I'm also smart enough to not post in here for help for a problem that does not exist and waste everybody's time. All you are doing is insulting my intelligence while pretending to me and everyone else in here that you're a truly benevolent being that is gleefully trying to help others. You are just being a pompous smartazz.

Hi thanks for some of you trying to help and suggesting things. Some of you apparently felt I was as dumb as a house cat and wanted me to post "proof" by posting a screenshot of my memory going down to nothing after starting Precision and it going back up after I killed it. Sorry, I didn't need anyone to baby me or hold my hand, nor did I need to prove anything as I saw it all for myself and people should have just trusted me. Also some insecure people looked for a fight of some sort by accusing me of insulting or being rude while all I was guilty of was trying to be humorous and being bad at it. My humor was terrible for sure but I was not trying to be rude. And the moderator handled things quite well but initially I misunderstood his intentions. EyeDeeNo actually tried to help and did, unlike most posters. I tried MSI Afterburner and my memory problem is fine. Although their interface skin is small, hard to read and not colorful it's still functional enough to do what I need without the memory leak problem. We can now consider this post closed!

Still zero useful information. Good luck getting EVGA to fix it without providing any effort on your part. Seems like you would rather type a bunch of complaints and give up. Good day!
