I've been having this issue with my Motherboard since I got it. It will give a warning message saying that hardware has changed, The message of what has changed varies,. In this pic it shows that my "CPU has Changed" and 'SATA mode has changed". It happens every so often even though I haven't changed anything or even downloaded new drivers. I was hoping this was a bug and would be fixed with a bios update but I have consistently updated my BIOS when new updates come out and it has yet to be fixed. Thanks in advance for any help.

You are not alone... I have similar messages randomly popping up about "changes" in SATA and drives (not CPU yet).
    Like to know why?!

    BUMP!!!!

Any info from tech support on this issue? Would really like to know if this is a normal issue or if I should be looking to RMA.

I'm getting this too.  Only started after the more recent bios update but it's not consistent.  Some of these settings are tied to an Auto setting, so I've tried setting them to something besides Auto and will see if they stop.

Not sure it's related to the CMOS battery though, board is less than a year old and all other settings are saved.

I didn’t think of that. I’ll give that a try as well. And I agree I don’t think it’s a cmos battery issue. If it was I would think my custom fan curves would be deleted as well.

I am also experiencing the same. It is often a message stating my m2 config changed. I have tried both auto and explicit settings on those and it still occurs. I however seem to NOT be losing my settings when it happens.

I have the same problem.  It is not always the same message either.  This is eventually going to cause problems if I am not in front of the physical PC and I need to reboot, as I'm assuming it just sits there forever waiting for an answer.

That exact scenario has happened to me on a couple occasions. And the worst part about it is the CPU temps go way up. Thankfully my AIO keeps the temps around 70c under load. I think my PC ran for a few days like this. So since that happened I always try to check on it once a day. But my current work around is to postpone windows updates for as long as I can. Then manually do the update when I can.

I'm A bit disappointed that EVGA hasn't chimed in here on this issue. Clearly I'm not the only one seeing this issue. Do I need to start an RMA?

I've been getting this too. Lots of SATA mode has changed and CPU has changed. Really hoping EVGA addresses this soon.

Not saying it couldn't be a bad batch of batteries all failing around the same time, but seems odd that it all started after the switch to BIOS 1.10.

Support wanted me to RMA, but I can confirm that this is fixed by rolling back to 1.09.  Hopefully this will be fixed soon, as we cannot use all of the features we paid for (ReBAR).

I have noticed that this still happens on 1.09, but much much less frequently.  This thread is pretty dead, but has anyone confirmed that this is fixed with an RMA?

I have the same problem on the z490 dark kpe. Almost all restarts give this error.

The other problem I have is that the LED for the temp is faded out. Seems like it is worn out.

Received an RMA today, I can confirm that the new board does not have this issue after rebooting repeatedly (about 10 times).  It also fixed a problem where XMP settings on my memory would not boot, so I'm fairly certain that something was wrong with the early board.
