Just been waiting quite a while to get one like everyone else. I was curious of those that were lucky enough to get one. Been playing the Newegg shuffle and I have a youtube instock/discord channel that I follow every time that I am on a computer. I still haven't had any luck. Any recommendations for people like me?

Chip shortage is getting worse in general. Gamers needs are the very last thing to fulfil.

Last year... I got my 3090 and a 3070 for my kid at Microcenter within a couple days.   I live an 1hr and half away from Microcenter, so I don't go there often.   The first time I went to Microcenter was to look for a RTX 30 series card, and 3 of the 4 days I went... there were drops.  Would have been all 4 days, but the manager said the truck couldn't make it due to inclement weather... and there were RTX 30 series cards on that truck.   I went to pick up a replacement monitor a month ago at Microcenter, and there were RTX 3060's, 3080's, RX 6000 series cards available in the morning.  A lot of happy gamers in line when I was checking out.   For me, Microcenter made it easy for me to get cards.   Tustin Microcenter uses a Q-code check-in early in the morning, so you don't have to spend the night.  But you have to check-in fast when the manager brings out the Q-code sign.  Disneyland is now open... take the family to Disneyland while you go to Microcenter in the morning. 

Been trying for 8 months to get a 3080.I got a EVGA 3070XC3 ultra last week on the Newegg Shuffle that I can now use to get that 3080 through their excellent step up program.Good luck and try the shuffle.

Bestbuy should be the best way.

I recommend camping at micro center. I did it this week… got there 40 minutes before open and could have got Amd 6800xt but passed. Considering going earlier tomorrow

Makes EU feel like a third world state... wish we also had a micro center with regular in store gpu drops...

Hopefully check the Newegg Shuffle and then check Microcenter.com/ if you have one nearby.  I noticed, at least within' the last few days some of Microcenter's GPUs reflect the stock of Newegg's and has the unavailable offline bit.

I've done this three times and every time I could've grabbed at 6800XT or 6900XT, but those are insanely overpriced. Last time I got a discounted open box 6800xt but it has terrible coil whine and it locks up at high clock speeds so Im gonna return it. NVIDIA cards get taken by insane scalpers who camp out from afternoon the day before.

Bestbuy, maybe wait until the 3080 ti queue.

So should i make a twitter account and have the app always open on the phone? Or do I need to glare at their feed the entire day. If it was a phone notification, was it still fast enough to score? I'm trying to figure out how many second do I have.

I just have notification turned on so I see it on my home screen and I am only following the one account.  It worked well for me back in January.  On the discord channel you also get insight on when certain drops will happen. Not sure how they get the info, I assume they have some contacts.

I've passed up on at least 3 30 series cards.  Try to sign up for the higher end ones.  The queue typical moves faster than the lower end ones.

I went to Microcenter a couple of hours before opening on one of the days they get deliveries. Some people camped there for more than a day and got their pick of just about anything they wanted - others, like me, settled on 3070s and 3060s once the 3080s and 3090s were gone.

 
 
I got lucky yesterday, had to put together more cash then I would like to admit. The email out of the blue from about a 5 plus month wait and it gives you an 8 hour window to buy. then ships super fast from L.A. so some cards are moving out.
