I am hearing microcenter is the best bet. Some microcenters allow you to do a build your own pc and have the store assemble it they might guarantee your card depending on the store. I will be going to my local store this weekend.

evga queue if you can wait, best buy or newegg shuffle and maybe micro center 

Interesting tips here. I've been watching Best Buy with no luck for a little while, nowhere near as long as some in this thread. I joined the EVGA queue a long time ago, still nothing on that front. No Newegg Shuffle luck either. Hoping the 3080 Ti might be a slightly increased chance of grabbing a new card without extreme hassle or price gouging. I WISH there was a MicroCenter near me.

camping at micro center for one or two nights is probably the most "reliable" way to get one

hopefully the new LHR cards will free up some inventory for us mortals

Anybody here has any experience with the Microcenter in Houston, TX? I live about 4 hours away from it, but i might do the trip if it's worth it

You can call them to ask when they expect a new shipment to arrive, then plan accordingly. But remember, there are other people doing the exact same thing. Its a risk that you will get there, and they will only have ran out before you got your chance to pick one up. 

The one in Dallas has had people setup camp the day before the shipment arrives. 
 

Sounds really demeaning to have to literally camp in a concrete parking lot for a chance to buy a GPU. Is this what's really going on? You have to physically, actually camp at the store? Line-up the day before? I guess things could be worse, but wow, desperate times.

Bestbuy seems to have decent protection against bots, Amazon is virtually impossible but always worth a try. Newegg shuffle is an option also.

Really? I thought best buy was the worst way to get a 30 series card. Have they changed how they have been doing things?

It took a while to get a 3090 FTW Ultra, but eventually I got one with EVGA's queue. You are going to have to be REALLY patient.

I have been successful on the newegg shuffle, the EVGA queue, and bestbuy. Also been successful on the AMD website for both CPU and GPU but obviously that isn't a 30 series card.

New egg shuffle is a harsh lotto. I have been hitting the shuffle since it was started and have never been selected. EVGA que is my only hope.

the EVGA queue for the 3080 especially, will take about a year to get to you if you signed up now. The shuffle is about luck I suppose. I have won twice. You are much more likely to get a card from bestbuy, the shuffle, or from zotac in the next couple months than from the EVGA queue. It's nice that they are offering it but I would only consider it a last resort backup plan. The lower end 30 series seem to be moving faster through the queue though. I was able to get a 3060 after a 3 month wait. Been waiting on all 3080 skus since I entered the queue 7 months ago.

I don't know about the U.S, but here in Canada Best Buy recently started to shift away from online sales to in-store. Not sure if they'll shift completely, but that has been the trend so far. It's a good way to combat bots and multiple purchases, but if you don't have a Best Buy near you or if you live in an obscure area, you might be screwed. I don't know if Best Buy U.S is going to do the same or not in the future.

In the US you can order GPUs online with bestbuy but have to pick them up in store.
