I'll also throw in the MSI MEG Z490 ACE, specs are right up there with the GODLIKE board for FAR less money and which is my next build.

Not sure where you are getting that? I'm assuming you are talking about the new TEC coolers? Their requirement is attached to the Z490 chipset and it should work for the Coolermaster solution and the EKWB solution. The ASUS Z490 APEX was pretty much the cheapest way to get the top tier overclocking, that is if you can still find one for $419 still. The MSI Z490 Unify is the route I'd suggest since it's in the $300 range and it's still really good quality for overclocking.

I got it from the official supported motherboards from both Coolermaster and EK .

... and I'll throw in the https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-Z490-UNIFY which just went into my new build. Great reviews with nice OCing features... 3 m.2 slots and if you're like me and hate skittles this board is where it's at... featuring no RGB. :) RainStryke The MSI Z490 Unify is the route I'd suggest since it's in the $300 range and it's still really good quality for overclocking.
I concur.

Their list of supported boards is limited to the boards they tested with. The technology is built around software that is dependent on the Z490 chipset. Because the EVGA Dark is LGA1200 and Z490, it should work. I would check with EVGA support to confirm or if you can get your hands on one of those kits, I'd at least try and and return if it doesn't work.
