Just wanted to give a quick update, after about a week now I'm running an average of 318K PPD, appreciate the recommendation everyone!
Is that folding only, or are you using computer for other things as well??? I was under the impression that even a vanilla 1060 3GB should get slightly better (or at least equal) folding performance vs a GTX 970.
That's my 970FTW with regular daily use including about 20 - 24 hours across those 5 days of streaming a mix of 480p, 720p, & 1080p movies & video content.
This is dedicated, no monitor plugged in - using the 750Ti for my display. I expect the poor results are some kind of conflict with the 750.
Monitor takes virtually nothing away from folding on a card. I've run mine without monitor attached for up to 7 days - using my laptop for everything even gaming (which kinda sucks on a 750m as I have to drop to 720p to keep somewhat decent playability...), & on same work units I got less than 1000 ppd variance as compared to having the monitor attached, & that's @ 2560x1600 resolution.
