So I heard best buy was getting some cards today. I got on the site they had 3090 founders, asus strix, evga xoc. Had some 3080,3070,3060 ti also.
I have the XOC in the cart but it sold out.
They did have a que system they put in place where the button was blue and you had to click on it then wait for it to come available to then add to cart. So they are trying to stop scalpers.
I decided to not buy a card that I didn't want and just wait for the chance to get a Kingpin.

Yeah I had HotStock running on my phone and got notifications. Been trying to snag a 3080 for my buddy and the Best Buy buying system is kinda garbage. You have to click "add to cart" and the button turns into a gray "please wait", and you have to wait and see if it'll ever turn into an "Add to cart" a 2nd time so you can click it and not have it add. Luckily during the drops he snagged a 3070 XC3 from BB himself that he picks up on the 15th. I let him know about the awesome Step Up program

Congratulations on finding a card I know some people have found it hard to get one but luckily I feel the EVGA system has been really good.

I only signed up for notifies and step-ups last week, so I was very, very far away from getting anything. I'll keep it all going until I get the card and make sure it works, but damn...!

Still shows FE available for me, I think the cards were only available for delivery to store to be picked up, cause a BUNCH of cards showed in stock for quite awhile.

I was able to get the EVGA 3090 XC3 Ultra at first because none of the other EVGA cards were available. After I was able to complete that transaction the EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming became available and was able to get that as well. I just need to decide which card to keep and cancel the other. The 3090 is scheduled to be picked up at my local bestbuy on Jan 30th and the 3080 on Feb. 6th. Originally wanted a 3080 but now I'm torn. Any suggestions?

I'm leaning more to keeping the 3080 as of now. If anyone in the Socal area wants to buy the 3090 off me for the price I paid I have no problem with that.

I had a nice surprise today. I ordered the EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming at Bestbuy on Friday Jan. 22nd. At that time they said the estimated store pick up would be Saturday Feb. 6th so I was a little disappointed it would take 2 weeks to get here but at least I finally was able to get my hands on one. Then today I get a text saying its ready for pick up! So not only did it come earlier than expected but I got the version with black lips and not the red ugly one.

The worst for BB is when you get everything in your cart, you're checking out, and then it suddenly tells you this item cannot be shipped and no stores with 250 mile radius are available for pickup. This happened to me 2x with the PS5 on BB, after that I gave up on BB and snagged one from Walmart instead.
