Not that anyone likely noticed, but back from Japan....Love the country..the people...the food..

Such a great place...if you ever have a desire (past or future) to go to Japan, do it..
You won't be disappointed...at least in the place...the plane trip sucks.

I never was in Japan but I really respect and like their culture.
Only I'm not sure I would like their food. I like Italian mostly.

Welcome back! -- Any location you recommend specifically? Also, what about the food? Any specific dishes?

I suggest Kyoto as a "MUST GO" locale....it's absolutely gorgeous with it's 1000  year old temples and castle ... lots of history (and it wasn't bombed during World War II)....

Food? Udon, Sushi, Sashimi (Fish without Rice), Tempura, Teppanyaki, Ramen, Donburi, Kare Raisu, Soba,
Waygu (EXPENSIVE), Yakitori...

Food to avoid: NATTO (DISGUSTING!), Fugu (It is Sashimi, but it's expensive and dangerous...Blowfish...poisonous if not prepared properly...can kill you...I tried it....the texture is odd
and it's kind of meh tasting...it was a bucket list item)..

Believe it or not, Tokyo Disney is worth the cash, if you're a Disney person...it's different enough from home that it's...different..I don't know how to explain it.

Akihabara is incredibly fun (It's a district within Tokyo)...Ginza is cool if you like to  look at high end items that
you can't afford...Osaka is a great place...
