These BIOS updates add Resizable BAR / Above 4G support and address a security vulnerability reported by Intel:

BIOS 1.17/1.16/1.16 Updates
  • Update ME FW 11.8.82.3838 for Intel security vulnerability
  • Add Resizable BAR and Above 4G support
         134-KS-E379-KR - EVGA Z370 Classified K - v1.17
         134-KS-E377-KR - EVGA Z370 FTW - v1.16
         121-KS-E375-KR - EVGA Z370 Micro ATX - v1.16

For a guide to learn how to enable Resizable BAR, we made an FAQ:  https://www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdetails.aspx?faqid=59772

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file above for your motherboard.
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and open update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
  • NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be ran from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.

BIOS Installation
  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the Save & Exit tab and open "Select BIOS File."
  • Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

Please let me know if anyone runs into problems with this update.  Thanks!

Still wished they updated the Z370 Micro atx board with LLC features as well for OC'ing and if it doesn't have HPET toggle to include that. I haven't checked yet but just saying.

Really appreciate EVGA for updating their Z300 mobo's for Resize BAR support.

I updated my Z370 ClassifiedK to 1.17 using the BIOS installation method.  All seemed fine until the end when I received a checksum error.  I retried with a fresh download and placed it onto a reformatted (FAT32) USB stick and again received the checksum error.  the BIOS version shows the new version 1.17.  I also tried to flash with 1.15 with the same results.
The system seems to work OK but I get a series of beeps each time I reboot.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

Only at the first boot after flashing? If so, this is normal:
    manual
    BIOS Update
When you power on the system for the first time (or after a BIOS update/reset) it may take a little longer than expected, and follow with a pause and message on the screen reading “BIOS Checksum error, Press F2 to continue or F12 to enter the BIOS.” This is completely normal.

jerry99262The system seems to work OK but I get a series of beeps each time I reboot.

How many? USB devices can also produce beeps:
manualMany motherboards will beep 1-2 times per USB device plugged in at boot; some will beep more based on functions of the device.

(there is an option in the bios to turn off "Speaker Beep" but be sure, first, these are not related to a real issue)

I have several USB devices plugged in.  I can live with the beeps so long as they aren't an indication of something wrong.  The point is, it never beeped before the BIOS update

Just a guess: did you turn off "Speaker Beep" in the past? (or maybe the "Quiet boot"?) And the BIOS was restored to defaults when you updated it (so this option was set back to on by default)

I don't recall ever turning it off but perhaps it was off by default.  Thank you so much for your help.  I'll turn it off and not worry about it

I think my mATX has 1.12 on both bioses currently. Can I flash 1 to 1.16 and roll other back to 1.05?

Bad idea to flash 1.05.  Didn't detect 9900K.

Do you have other old i7 CPU or borrow a friends then you may flash back to latest 1.16 and you can use i9 9900K. If you have the problem with latest BIOS 1.16 so you should contract EVGA Customer Support!

Somehow managed to corrupt the ME portion of my 1.16 BIOS after flashing it.  Shows up as version "0.0.0.0" and slowed POST times atrociously to minutes.  Thought it was the BIOS itself or some hardware in my system, but my suspicion on the corrupt ME firmware was correct.  Another re-flashing and making sure to boot to Windows on stock default settings retained the ME firmware this time.

Is it interesting to flash microcircuits in different BIOS versions?
