Just purchased these memory sticks....https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236166 - CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4-24000) C15 for DDR4 Systems

Anyway, was pretty psyched about them. Just had to download the Corsair Link software to have total control of the colors. But DOH! Nada! EVGA have locked the SMBus writes which is why you can't control the modules on the X99. So the modules are running a "Rainbow" effect by default on all 4 chips.

Someone on the Corsair forums told me that EVGA will have an update soon to remedy this issue. Is this a fact? Hopefully within a week or so, such as I was told. Thanks.

    Hello,

we will have a bios update coming for all X99 motherboards soon. I have not verified the details of the update and if it will solve this issue however I will let our Product Management team know about this feature being locked down.

I also hope this is added soon. I thought Corsair was failing with their CL software and ripped them a new one only to find out it is an EVGA issue. I felt dumb...lol

Update: Solved! Latest BIOS flash fixed this issue! Version 2.04 for the X99 Classified motherboard has allowed the Corsair Link to control RGB colors on the Corsair Vengeance memory modules.
