I've a 5.1 system, And I only saw two jacks left and right on the new audio nu card of EVGA.. I can't run my 5.1 audio system over that? I require 6 jacks, Left left middle right right bass..
So the new Audio nu is an headphone only?

If your speakers require multiple analog inputs it will not work in that mode. If your speakers have an Optic link (doubtful) then it would

Is it an "Headphones Only" device, no it is not. Does it only support stereo analog out - yes. Does it support multi channel out via TOSLink - yes

I believe the Nu Audio is Stereo only, so no.  2.0 is seemingly the only option.

The Nu Audio card is meant to be a stereo audio card allowing it to drive demanding headphones and support processing for DSD.
It does support 5.1, but only out of the Toslink Optical jack.

Is there any possibility of a 5.1 or 7.1 expansion card in the future, like the high-end ASUS and Sound Blaster cards?

I would kind of assume that the card would have to be built from the ground up to support the expansion card and that could make for a less then ideal audio product. It would seem better to make it from the ground up for 5.1 or 7.1.

Yeah.  It just seems a little odd to relegate 5.1 audio to Toslink only.

The single-slot card doesn't have space for an additional 5 dedicated jacks.

   we have

S/PDIF is based on the AES3 interconnect standard.[3] S/PDIF can carry two channels of uncompressed PCM audio or compressed 5.1/7.1 surround sound (such as DTS audio codec); it cannot support lossless surround formats that require greater bandwidth.[4]

/ / / /

Notice the ... compressed ... part.  Truly odd that nu makes a big deal of the electricals but then shorts it with the limited channels.  It is a non-starter for many like me because of two channels.  Ah, right, next year it will be 8 channels.  You can always upgrade.  Maybe if it's a cheap card.  It's not.  It's a glamour card, for those with more money than sense.  But it's stuck at two channels.  That's ridiculous.

Smoke and mirrors.  This is not like a video card where performance is real - where the measured differences are easy to see.  It's not easy to fool people in what they see.  You can easily fool people in what they hear - they don't have a clue to start so you feed them bull and they buy it.  Anything this nu card does is essentially what you already have, only a 2-channel version.  I could go on if you want me to.  I suspect you don't.

an hdmi out for an amplifier would be ideal due to DSD support on this card.

AVR implies Audio and Video.
Looking at just sending Audio and hence why I said Amp

Granted most people own AVR decks now.

Every 5.1 system I've owned from $50+ has had a toslink for the last 12+ years.......

There's no a single amp that takes digital signal. It needs to have dac too. Though, buying this and hooking it via HDMI wouldn't make any sense since one could just use GPU HDMI out. Also DSD support... your audio receiver would need to support DSD over HDMI (and the DAC in it too, obviously). That support is shoddy though as far as I know.
