Okay thank you. The gpu with the air cooler back on seems to run cooler now than before. Im sure its the new TIM on it. Maybe when i have time ill delve back into the gpu block but for now Ill leave it. Thanks to all for the advice and help.

If you're ever looking for additional TIM to purchase, have look at Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut or MX-4. Those are pretty good paste to use.

Artifacts could show and if you use a lot of pressure. With waterblocks I tight screw holding small screwdriver with two fingers, immediately when I feel harder I stop. There is more place to tight screw but I immediately when become harder that's it. No any reason to tight any of screws inside PC. On motherboard tray, PSU, HDD, and special parts with direct contact with chips like PCH, CPU, Graphic processors - waterblocks. I must say installation of these parts are one of most interesting thing in PC. I hate to install tubes on fittings rest of job is very interesting.

So i've decided to give it one more shot. I reinstalled the water block using the method stated in other threads of keeping pressure on the area of the gpu die and then tightening the screws in a X type fashion. I also installed the paper washers on the back of the pcb where the bracket mounts. I am waiting on more fittings to arrive then i will test. Crossing my fingers this time...... I will update once i have it in place and tested. Just out of curiosity how tight do you guys tighen the screws? I did mine till they got snug then stopped. I didnt wrench down on them.

Finger tight. No need for brute force or when you start seeing the screws 'melting' if you will. Can't wait to hear your update soon.

Wow, I just discovered this thread after posting an update in mine about the exact same problem, albeit on the KPE 2080 ti. I too will be following this thread and look forward to hearing your results.

So good news sort of. After re-installing the block and also putting on the washers behind the bracket things are alot better. I have no artifacting as of yet. My temps are better by 20 degrees however its not quiet where i want them. I get up to about 54 in game now where before it was 72. Idle temp is around 28-29 with ambient being around 27. So an improvement however not what others have reported. Ive seen some report temps in the low 40s with this block and high 30's with the EK. Keep in mind this is one loop with the cpu in it with a 420 rad so maybe i cant complain. I also still have air bubbles to get out of it so i may gain a few degrees there. All in all its better but not what i was expecting.

Crimsonghost these things are a pain in the rear. I only say that as others install EK's with no issues it seems. There are two other threads on EVGA reporting this same issue so i feel its just a picky waterblock that takes some time to get right. Follow the instructions and get as much advice from others as you can.

That's a huge improvement and I wouldn't doubt your temps as of yet since I feel they could be within spec. Most people who post about 40c temps are going to have cooler ambient temps in the 20c-22c, direct cooling air flow from it and possibly more rads.

This is what ive started to think as well. My setup is different from the others posting so i wont complain. Im a solid 20 degrees cooler and dont have annoying fans to deal with. I feel with more rads or even more pump speed i could see better. All in all i wont leave any negative marks being its my first FULL loop. To all who helped it is appreciated...
