Just curious if we are going to see any EVGA Hybrid 3080's with AIO's installed on them at some point once the initial scalping/bot-buying/mad-rush has passed.

Is this something you folks at EVGA have planned? or are all of the cards going to be air-cooled only unless someone else starts making water-blocks?

Simple Question i know, but while i want a new 3080, im not so 'needy' that im going to be falling over myself to get one 'naow', when i'd rather have one that has a AIO built into it :)

Yes. Check out this page - 3090 will have a KingPin AiO and a Hybrid AiO, and 3080 there's one Hybrid AiO.

Iam wondering if the 3080 and 3090 Hybrid will really get a 240mm rad. Was there something like that confirmed?

At least bots most likely won't go for AIOs and HCs since they are more niche products with a price premium, at least judging by past launches.

I 'thought' i had seen those listed, but when i came back to the EVGA site to take a look, all it was showing were the 3 that are currently out of stock.  Was having trouble re-finding the full listing of them all :D

This post by EVGATech_LeeM () suggests that we'll be getting more than that.  There should be a Hybrid FTW3, and a Hybrid XC3, for both 3080 and 3090.  That'd mean we'll see six AIO models, including the two Kingpins.

Edit:  It seems I can't submit a link as a new member.  The post I was referring to is in a thread titled "EVGA RTX 3090 Hybrid using FTW3 PCB?".

     EVGATech_LeeM
We plan for a 3090/3080 HYBRID version on both the XC3 and FTW3 versions.  We chose to use only one image for HC and HYBRID in places to describe the cooling as an option, rather than show a separate image for XC3 and FTW3.

Are we gonna see Hybrid Kits as a separate option in this generation as well?

I hope they’re able to make a ftw3 hybrid with the rgb accents (the lipstick red accents not so much). It’s possible I’m in the minority here, but I like the rgb on the ftw3 model. I’m kind of torn because I’d love to get a hybrid card, but so far it seems like the ftw3 is the one to get performance-wise (although I don’t think anyone’s been able to really test the hybrid model yet), plus I like the way it looks better than the hybrid model shown on evga’s website.

I had a response in another thread that suggested the hybrids were not a high priority so would most likely be out once things settle down. Personally I am likely to be waiting for the 3080 Hybrid as I really can't justify the expense of a 3090 even without the extra cost/value that a hybrid brings.

Hmm now that is an interesting date to be honest. I was gonna buy a Hybrid Kit for my FTW3 but if they're that close I think waiting for FTW3 Ultra Hybrid is a better solution it seems.

Only problem is that they might get delayed due to current situation. If I was sure that they were gonna release on October 100%, I wouldn't hesitate to wait.

Awesome, thanks! That’s what I was hoping. If I can get a ftw3 ultra and then water cool it with a closed aio loop, that would be ideal!

It certainly helps with resale being able to offer the card with an AiO cooler *and* an air cooler shroud as well.

The ones for custom loops are Hydro Coppers, not Hybrids - mostly the Hydro Coppers are sold with the card as a single unit initially, but usually a little later down the line EVGA offers the Hydro Copper cooler as a stand-alone water block by itself. Same deal with the AiO (Hybrid) coolers.

the question that was asked and how that was answered gives the possibility that whether the kit will exist at all is to be determined, as opposed to dates, which is slightly unsettling.  Based on them saying the will have hybrids available shortly might be intended to get those potential kit sales done just buying the GPU as a hybrid.

Hmm so you’re saying if my step up expires on Oct 7th and I want one of these bad boys I should probably just grab what I can and pray for a kit, Lord Jacob?

Jacob, first off, nice that the EVGA 3080 Red Lipstick Edition currently holds the world record for Port Royal thanks to Steve and Joe(Score: 14069).

That said, does anyone know when we are going to get more details on the hybrid solutions? I'm hoping to not have to go custom loop but I am going to be doing a lot of work in blender so I don't overclock but the GPU will be under full load for several hours at a time to render small clips. For larger project I rent render time but even small animations could run all out for 2-8 hours. I want to be able to be in the same room without having to use headphones to block out fan noise.

    Thanks JacobF !
    EVGA 1080 Hybrid owner here.
Given the sheer amount of heat to dissipate with the 3080, would you say that the AIO WC solution will be:
    - more expensive or similarly priced as the now increasingly complex air cooling solutions?
    - more efficient or less efficient than fancy vapor chamber + heatpipes air cooling solution ?

My guesses would be : slightly more expensive but not by much, similar cooling performance but quieter, am i right?

With a 240mm rad, we may require slightly longer tubing than old 120mm as it won't be mountable on the rear chassis fan slot.

Definitely more efficient especially that now it is a 240mm radiator. Don't have any info on pricing yet.

Just wish we had an eta on these. I have a FTW3 on order but after having the 1080ti hybrids, I would love to get one of these. Just need to make sure I have one in hand before Cyberpunk hits.
