So i been waiting to pull the trigger on the Evga 2080 TI XC ULTRA video card though through reviews seems like the 2080 ti have been having nothing but issues with artifacts. Is this still happening or does anyone have the Card without any issues?

Sorry for the short reply earlier. I was headed in to a doctors appointment.

Most people have no issues with artifacting. There have been a few people posting about the space invader artifacts, but it isn’t many with the EVGA cards.

If you do buy, and run into issues, EVGA will take care if you relatively quick and get you back into the game.

Haha No worries! Thanks. I will always be a loyal EVGA customer. I built computers on the side for clients and if they don't buy EVGA i won't build it lol. They have always stood behind everything. Awesome company. Thanks again for the insight. Now i can rest easy about ordering one.

i have a founders 2080ti and a 2080ti ftw3 ultra and both have been flawless so far. the FE card was from the very first batch of 2080tis and the ones that had the most problems.mine was delivered 10/6/18, and like i said its been absolutely flawless, the ftw3 just arrived today and its also great so far. i was confident enough to buy another after my first card. no reason not to get one now...anyone who had an issue(s) was taken care of by the respective company anyways.

No man, its been absolutely flawless. I honestly havent had a single problem. I turn my PC off everynight after i game also. So its been on/off a few hundred times already. Probably have about 1000hrs total PLAYTIME across the several games i play since 10/6 on the FE card. My 2080ti FTW3 was just delivered today and all is well so far. Will report back if anything changes tho. I Promise.

I installed my 2080 Ti XC ULTRA GAMING and it was working fine for 3 weeks, then in the 4th week (now) it keeps giving me artifacts in BF V and crashes the game back to the desktop within 1-5 minutes.
I expect I will either be RMAing it or trying a FTW3 instead.
Sad face.
Glad to see that many others are not having any issues.

How quickly would the issues manifest themselves ? Is it same day or after few days/weeks ?

I don't think there is any way to say for sure.  In my case, the issues didn't start happening until week 4, but during the first two weeks, the card was not being pushed to the limits because my gaming was being held back by an old CPU.  Once I upgraded my MB and CPU to an i9-9900K, the GPU was let loose (so to speak) and shortly after that is when I started seeing issues.

However, keep in mind that there are probably many more people who have NOT had issues, and EVGA's RMA process is one of the best in the business, so that's good to keep in mind.

try a different game, i am seeeing lots of reports of bf5 random crashes on seemingly top tier hardware. only common link is bf5, browsing menu screens, post 12/5 patch, and PC version obviously. the fact that your card was fine until the same week as the newest update makes me quite suspicious that its a problem with the game and hopefully not your card. i am getting crashes back to the desktop also quickly after starting (only since the 12/5 patch), but no artifacting. all my other games are fine. assassins creed Odyssey, the division, the anthem alpha over the weekend, hardline, bf1, hitman2, all fine. problem seems limited to bf5 for me so i am confident its a problem with that specific game. let us know if you find the same result as me.

Bfv is garbage I have a 2080ti ultra Xc and a 8086k at 5.3ghz and in bfv my cpu usage is 90 to 100% with stutter and frame drops. No problems with the card so far I have had it since October 7 and it’s under water my systems is number 2 in the world for that cpu and one 2080ti in firestrike ultra and extreme or it was 2 months ago and it runs the benchmarks and stress test flawlessly. I would try other stuff with your card instead of bfv the game is broke I have had crashes to desktop also.

Lol it’s amazing they can even make a game this bad honestly. So many people with top of the line hardware that’s having these problems but yet there’s plenty of people with just average hardware having no problems I think it mainly people play high resolution and high refresh rates honestly the people playing 1080p and 60fps seem to have no issues or so they say.

Stutters are more than likely the ram cache issue, which is a Windows problem. It is fixed by clearing your ram cache. I have a task set to clear it, using a tool, every 5 minutes. I no longer have stuttering in games. Your CPU also seems odd, as I have the same CPU, but at stock speeds and it doesn't run at 90% in BFV...

Tried this doesn’t work for me I set it up under task scheduler also my ram usage is never over 10gb. I have also tried different versions of Windows 10 and have a very slim OS. I have no windows defender no Cortana and basically everything disabled that can be and windows still operate. Task manager shows nothing running when in game but the game orgin and msi afterburner and the game is at 97% I even have spectra patch disabled.

Re: Are the 2080 TI Issues fixed? 2018/12/12 18:35:01 (permalink)
BF V runs fine for me if I under-clock the GPU by about 600 MHz and the memory by about 220 MHz.  It doesn't crash and no artifacting.  At least, I got through 3 rounds that way last night.  But, as soon as I put the card back to default settings, artifacting starts and the game crashes usually within 3-4 minutes.
In my case, I don't think it's related to BF V.
Thanks for the feedback though.

Edit:  I just tried running the Fire Strike benchmark and at default settings it started artifacting and crashed on the first test.  I ran it again after downclocking the card by -318 MHz on the memory and -601 on the GPU and it ran through fine with no artifacting or crashes.

I think I just got a card that didn't last.  I ran Fire Strike a bunch of times when I first got it, and then again after I upgraded my CPU and it worked fine.  It just seemed to take about 3-4 weeks in my case for the card to show the problem.
