did the Mods rigs page fall off the face of the EVGA.
Seems like not a lot of people view any rigs these days or even vote ..
and also seems a lot more system are not showing pics or stats and getting votes or am i just seeing things ?
also when was the last time anyone won the 1k sponsorship ?
Just seems a bit Odd ..  that nothing is happening on that page ..

Mod Rigs hasn't changed in years, it needs a revamp with more prizes and promotions. Game codes, smaller and more frequent prizes.
    Sure would attract more builds.

I was just in there a few hours ago. Last time it hit 200 new (eligible) systems to trigger the $1,000 EVGAbucks draw was just over a year ago (12/03/2018) ..that's quite a long time, and there's currently still 61 new rigs needed to trigger it again. I don't think EVGA has given it any attention for ages and you never see it promoted these days. I won it way back in September 2013, that was awesome. It really does need a major revamp.

I used to be in the top 3 ratings wise. I miss that rig. Current one fried finally. Looking for parts. But yeah a revamp is long over due for that portion of evga. But it will be like bringing chat back. Will never happen.

I brought this up a few months ago:
    https://forums.evga.com/Request-for-EVGA-to-update-Mod-Rigs-m2996147.aspx

According to Adam with EVGA, they are currently working on it, but no ETA.

I think it’s fun to have an online archive - even if I’m the only one who looks at it (my build). Sort of a free build progress tool.

If others find it interesting, great. If not, that’s fine too.

I don’t expect anything more than that.

I used to mine. Now I compute.

its sad,  to see one day it is booming and the next its not so good..  i put my resent build up, and so far got one vote .  so im rolling in votes.  my last build had 5 votes.  I guess, my chances or anyone chance of getting that 1k winner is getting harder and harder.  here i am wanting to spend a 1 win on a new 2080ti with block and a 1000 watt power .  but i guess santa in 5 years might bring those items ... Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all ..

Mod Rigs was big back in 2010-2011 and that's about it... It's been pretty dead since then.

If you have any recommendations for their team that is working on it, I would send it as a suggestion:

Mods Rigs is stuck in the past, no real reason for people to view or add new builds to it anymore. People have moved onto sites like reddit and pcpartpicker.com.

    Here are a few recommendations:
    1. Adding components could be a little easier... Some overclocking things like shader frequency on the GPU's could be removed or the whole "specs" column all together really... Overclock settings fit better in the notes section.
    2. Only eligible benchmarks show at the top under "System Owner," the rest can be placed in the notes field or notes field template.
    3. Change "Notes by Owner" to Configuration Notes that has a template for overclocking frequencies and a general open note box for anything the rig owner wants to point out.
    4. Make it so you can add/remove more than 1 item at a time in the other components section or just make it all 1 section with the primary components.
    5. It would be nice if photo size was not so limited...
    6. This one i'm not sure about... but i'll mention it anyway. A price paid field for each component that totals up how much you paid for your set-up, with the default set to private and the ability to set as public.

I've always thought ModsRigs was a good idea. It's essentially social media for your rig builds. There needs to be a reason for it to exist though. Make it meaningful again. Ponder what sort of incentives might be done to promote it regularly. Regular swag awards for certain milestones or things might be fun. Nothing expensive, just something that reminds everyone that earning a place on ModsRigs might get you a limited edition shirt design or some other swag. Maybe use ModsRigs as a showcase for regular theme build contests? I'm sure there are a bunch of possibilities to be had in making it more meaningful.

Ideals, hmmm seems some peeps has some good ones.
also just to kick it back off, would be a nice touch to see a give away here and there, not just for the 1k, but just random give a ways, for things like Power supplies, video cards, case`s, mouse, keyboards.  Kinda like live stream does.. but to be entered in those , the system build would have to be recent builds from like 2019/2018 .  builds that may have not been upgraded .  and most of all clean up the site as well.  say anything in the past from like 2017 removed, posts with no pics removed .. and also make it to not only 1k but 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  1st is the 500, 2nd.  is say 250.00 and 3rd is 100 .  run that say as a yearly winner, with the 1k for over all for system, build with the most voted system of all ..  and then randomly give something away, like a B stock item, every three months ..  or instead of 1st,2nd and 3rd places for the year.  say EVGA donates 500 to a charity in honer of the winner for the year ...

It's much easier to discuss builds and show them off on sites like Reddit and pcpartpicker.com. The owner of pcpartpicker.com continues to put in a lot of work to keep his website relevant.
