Hi All,

Finally upgrading from a 1070 and went full shabang on the 3080ti!
PC Specs;
MB: Aorus Z390 Ultra
CPU: Intel i7-8700k 3.7 (currently OC'd to 4.3)
Ram: 32gb ram (3000mhz)
Storage: 3x 1tb WD Black m.2 (Raid config 0 for 2tb usable)
GPU: EGA Geforce RTX 3080ti FTW3
PS: Seagate Platinum 80+ 650w

Issue;
I have 1 primary power cable going to slot 3 (L2R), and Slot 1&2 with a split power cable.
All the RGB lighting and all works and comes up, fans spin, but no display output.

Is there a bios setting that I am missing, or did I connect the power wrong?
I'm currently HDMI'd into my MB for display, but when attempting to launch nvidia graphics drivers, it appears my PC does not recognize the card.

Any suggestions would help.

    ^^^ Use dedicated PCI-E cables from psu to each of the Cards 3 PCI-E power connectors....dont "share" one PCI-E connector from psu to x2 GPU PCI-E power connectors.....double check that the PCI-E power connectors x3 are firmly seated in your psu and gpu...

    If your still using the 650w psu its likely not cutting the mustard.

    you are going to need a minimum of 750 watt power supply. a 850 w would be better your pulling about 589w with your current system. you are most likely going to just need a new power supply with three pci express cables.

    #1: Try a MB bios update to F10, there is a possibility the GPU bios/fimware is not playing nice with the 3080 Ti that is likely shipping with a Re-Bar bios.

    https://www.gigabyte.com/...upport#support-dl-bios

    #2: Try booting with the I-GPU and see if you can read the card with Device Manager, GPU-Z, X1, AB, etc.  If you can X1 to load, it may run a firmware update.

    #3: Your power cable config is not stopping the card from displaying, but the PSU and cables could be a problem if you get it running.  Plug 2 draws the most power, followed by Plug 1 (front of machine), Plug 3 is far less.  Daisy chain 1&3. The card can pull 425w out of the box AT MAX LOAD even though it's only saying ~395w in software. It pulls power very aggressively and can easily put the card or PSU into protect where the machine will black screen and power off if the PSU is not sufficient.  I recommend a 1000w Leadex platform PSU, or turning down power limit until shutdowns stop.  Or you might be just fine (doubtful).

    Guys.  The card draws like 25w at idle.  He could boot the system on 250w PSU with a triple daisy chain cable and it should show display.  The lack of any display period is not a power issue, unless it's simply just not plugged fully.

    OP: DOUBLE CHECK SEATING OF CARD AND THAT ALL POWER CABLES ARE FULLY SEATED.

    Ensure your BIOs is up to date and if possible try a different cable. Most home TVs use HDMI so borrow a cable from your TV to rule that out as an issue.

    Saw that, can't be stated enough.  Mis-seated plug can cause a partial power up and the symptoms OP is seeing

    Hi All;

    Seems the PS was the issue at the end of the day. 650w was not enough. So since I was upgrading the power supply, i figured i'd just say **** it and build a new PC.

    So; new stats.

    MB - Aorus TUF Z590
    CPU - i7-11600k 3.6ghz (OC'd to 4.9 steady - 5.1 if im careful)
    GPU - 3080ti ftw3
    PS - EVGA SuperNova GS 1300
    and upgraded to 64gb ram from 32gb ram, 3200.

    CPU sits at a nice 24* idle and caps around 32* under pressure. I've yet to push the GPU over 57* in standard bios. i've not yet flip the OC switch

    I did try all these options m8. thank you. sadly none of them seemed to have fixed the problem. went and got a new PC to make the graphics card life up to modern standards.

    tossed the 1070 back into it and donated it to my assistant's son. he just turned 14, so time to get him into the PCMR.
    off to work on an AMD build so i can finish building my racing simulator rig :)
