Curious how the FTW3's do, from the few things I've read/watched on OC'ing FE 3080's, it doesn't seem like there is a lot of head room.  Saw one thing about a shunting/power modded FE and it drew up to 500+ watts but was only a 7-8% performance gain.  But that's stock PCB, so very curious to see how EVGA FTW3's will do, if there is more to be had or if it's about the same.

I'm pretty curious as well. This is the card that I personally want to pick up.

Can't overclock them yet, they are still on eBay. Real humans don't have them yet.

Steve from GamerNexus overclocked it. I'm pretty sure. He said it was one of the best cards.

My bet he had most of that going through the memory too because every other video he said he didn't' get improvement and every single one he put in resisters his own way instead of the way others saw shunt mod improvements.

That being said there isn't a lot of head room gamers nexus had 404watts going through the card, 233 GPU the rest board and memory...  The FTW3 did clock the highest of the 3 Steve tested even before he put it under LN2. Gamers nexus has a multi hour video of him OC 3 cards, one of which  is the FTW3 ultra, but it didn't have the 420 watt bios on it so there was possibly still a little more room.

The jury is still out with the whole shunt mod thing, I'm not entirely convinced that anyone who has publicly shown a shunt mod actually has it working properly, or is just randomly wasting that power as heat.  We'll see.  Tech Jesus got some decent OC's with the prerelease 400W 3080 FTW3 bios on air, but not massive.  The Kingpin 3090 LN2 result (XOC bios?) and the GN 3080 FTW3 LN2 (XOC bios) show promise.

Yes there are considerable unanswered questions about where power is going, seemingly not as much to the chip vs. 2080 Ti, and the FC shunt mod results are helpful but not definitive.
