Awesome.  I also like that combo kit but feel the price is a bit steep for such a small drone but agree, it's a great buy overall if you had to buy some individually.

Yep, hopefully I might have something after this weekend.  Taking down with me to a party my photographer friend is having for the game and we're gonna do a bit of flying as well.  I'm still looking for a new video editing app to replace my 6 year old Premiere Elements that I never used.

Thought I was gonna go with the free version of DaVinci Resolve but I remembered I needed something to finally edit videos off my phone with which has thrown a wrench into the plans.  I'm using the H.265 HEVC format on my iPhone which gives access to things like 4K 60fps and 240fps 1080 for slow motion capture.  Problem is those both require that H.265 HEVC format.  The older H.264 caps at 4K 30fps (which is probably fine though) and the free Resolve doesn't work with H.265.

Apparently it's not really intended as a source format in general either and about the only app that does behave with it is the full Premiere CC.  Supposedly the full $300 Resolve Studio supports it as well but it's a performance hog in either as it must be decoded on the fly to use it.  I think Cyberlink Powerdirector (which is much cheaper) supports it as well though so I'm looking into that.  Also looking into converting it with Handbrake first to just use in the free version of Resolve and see if it creates any issues (like if it changes the frame rate etc.).

At least I'm covered for the photos side.  I have a subscription for the $10/mo Lightroom/Photoshop plan since I already did photo stuff.

Well, I didn't get any video today.  Due to other things we had to do I didn't get to my friend's place until after dark, but next weekend I'll be down there again and we're planning to go fly for a bit.  Hopefully I'll get some good stuff, will be around the vineyards in Lodi, CA.
