I've tried all the usual stuff, no other games are having issues, ran heaven at max settings and res for two hours so it isn't the card
Sometimes it'll play for a couple hours, other times it's minutes. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Which video card do you have? How exactly are you crashing?
2080Ti FTW3, no OC or anything. and it either freezes or just full crashes. No full resets, display driver crashes etc, event viewer shows an application hang for odyssey. I set a large page file and that reduced the frequency of the hangs. But for the life of me I just can't get it fully stable.

Does underclocking the card to max negative values on the core & memory help at all?

Does underclocking the card to max negative values on the core & memory help at all?
I'll test it when I get on later. When it started happening I whipped out ghost recon wildlands, DE: mankind divided and heaven to test the card at full load and nothing else made it crash. So I didn't think to try that. Watched it with hwinfo64 and saw it maxing virtual memory out so I upped the page file from system managed and it got a lot better, but not 100%

Maxing out the page file on system managed? Didn't think that was possible as system managed is suppose to adjust the size on the fly if needed. How much ram does your system have?

Yea, I didn't either. But every time it crashed before I manually set one it would be at 98-99% virtual memory load right before crashing And 16gb, only ever see odyssey use like 4ish Seems to be a trend these days, games leaning on page files for no good reason

Yup, set the page file back to system managed
Went to max underclock on both memory and core
Crash reproduced identically.
Set page file back, went back to default values, hasn't crashed yet. Has been taking over an hour with the page file.

Sounds like the game is busted.
Yea it doesn't feel like a hardware issue. Did some research online, system config doesn't seem to matter apparently random hangs have been an issue since day one. Was just hoping someone here may have found a better work around than I.

I know I don't have a RTX card but I play Odyssey since Xmas time & haven't seen 1 hiccup/ crash/ or error at all.
I've played a bunch too. I think he's up to lvl 43 character...
I doubt it is the game..... must be some kind of driver/memory timing/ setting issue somewhere. ?

I also found piles of people with all different kinds of hardware who have the same issue in the Ubisoft forums So it looks like I just gotta wait on a patch or driver to fix it Hell even consoles are even having freezing issues.
