Hi
Funny you should say that
I tried to earlier this year and WCG has been making an upgrade and has failed to use my services.
Had to add Rosetta@home and Denis@home to get any work.
I am using Boinc Manager
Feel free to advise me if I need to make changes to my setup.(Rosetta and Denis seem to be working fine so it leads me to believe it is on your end)
Thanks for reach out.
I am here.
Joe
It will be interesting if they respond..and how soon..
I will let you know if anything happens

Or you could add the WCG to your BOINC manager and see if you get work now.
There are a few people on here getting a steady stream of tasks now. Their pretty busy getting things
switched over from IBM and been having a rough time of it.

If it is still not giving you tasks double check your settings on the WCG page and make sure you are allowing work and selected some subprojects to run.  If still nothing you can remove WCG in BOINC manager and then add it back in.

Worked perfectly
Didn't try any of the other stuff.
Hardest part was realizing my password for WCG was on the folding machine not my main laptop...DoH!

Thank You!

I haven't sent the email because I don't really feel I am Back..
When I look at the advanced view, projects pane I see this

WCG was running but, it doesn't show much was accomplished. Rosetta seems to be hogging the computer..lol
Not that there is anything wrong with that..
Going to setup a few other computers with Boinc this morning, but only with WCG and see what happens...

When I run BOINC I run One CPU and One GPU Project.
I do not really look at that column and for real stats I look at Free-DC (Your Stats). our Team on Free-DC
Here are your BAM! Stats Bam! Team Stats. It takes time for Stats to show up and it is best to look at them at the end of each week or month.
This way I set what I want to run for the next few days.
I will then change out Projects as what the Team may be running or not as we are not required to run Team Events.
I go after Badges and to tell you the truth I stopped running Rosetta (VM) and run SiDock@home more like WGC.
I only really run VM Projects when we have a Team Event and is also why I stopped running Rosetta.
When I Fold I will Fold on the GPU and run BOINC on the CPU.

About SiDock@home project

SiDock@home is an international volunteer computing project aimed at drug discovery.
In our project, we are looking for ligands – small molecules that can successfully bind to protein targets and modulate a specific process that is crucial for the virus biochemistry. Based on molecular docking, the ideal ligand should be complementary in shape and properties to the binding site of the target biomolecule. However, the complementarity of small molecules is only one prerequisite for the use of a molecule as a drug.
The search for the right molecule is best illustrated by finding a small needle in a huge haystack. It is a much more difficult problem because of the number of possible molecular structures. The amount of all possible molecular structures is also called the chemical universe – the size of this abstract space can be estimated to be 10 to the power of 80. There are many galaxies in this chemical universe, and one of the galaxies is a galaxy with potentially pharmacologically active molecules. The method for this purpose is called virtual screening. In principle, the larger the part of the chemical universe that we study, the higher the likelihood of finding a potential cure for the coronavirus.
You can help with your computer. With the help of BOINC, you will download a subset of compounds on your computer, examine the compounds in the context of the studied target and send the results to a server where they are collected for later analysis.
In the Publications section, you can read the research papers, presentations and watch general-audience interviews on SiDock@home.

Our first mission: fight against SARS-CoV-2

The first mission of SiDock@home is discovery of possible drugs against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It started as an extension of the project COVID.SI.
COVID.SI is a citizen science project to fight against SARS-CoV-2 by distributed computing.

I think Krembil's problem is they need to upgrade their ISP from AOL dial-up to Verizon FIOS gb. service!!!
That dial up 14.4k service connection they have is not cutting it.

Installed Boinc and added one project...WCG
"No work available to process"

It is a gpu folding computer and WCG is set for cpu only
I have removed and added WCG a few times with no change.

I will not run sidock at the moment their server is in Russia. I have nothing against the Russian scientist but their government is not acting in a neighborly manner at the moment and I do not want to be attached to a Russian server.
You guys can run it if you want to. I won’t be for a while
