Per Twitter they are getting new cloud servers going. Just a lag in getting the software and configs loaded. Hopefully this will go live soon.
Calm down everybody and try go relax. Try not go focus on the computer right now.
I know it's hard but it's very important not to stress out in these times. It just makes everything seem worse and can have a negative effect on your heakth.
I'm happy my system can help and welcome all work it can get.
Amen. Sucks I'll miss out on points for a bit; but it's not that big of a deal!! I'm more impressed by the rest of the world folding for the cause than I am about wanting EVGA bucks on my account.

I'm shutting down. Went to work but had to turn around and come home because people are to afraid to let strangers into their homes. So, as to lesson an electric bill, I will have to let the new folks take on the task. I will be letting all tasks run through and will wait to upload before shutting rigs off.

if you don't sell, the loss is not realized ... the question is what is the new Normal for the Market I believe the shorts are hammering the system to the point of having a negative impact to actual values If Stocks continue to pay their dividends, in the long run 2 - 4 yrs this should look like a speed bump, in the rear view mirror

In times of high volatility and as liquidity dries up because of moves to safe haven assets, the market depth gets abysmally shallow and offloading of stocks can often result in much more drastic moves than normal. This is true in the stock market and in forex, where I used to daytrade for years. Coupling this with algorithmic trading systems that compound the issue and we get situations like this. Fleeting but concerning for many in the short term.

Ok, but I'm going to hold you to it whiskey!!  And on the WU topic: I'm glad some of you guys are getting work. Last 2-3 days, I have gotten 4 total. At least everything is clean now and ready.

If you do Not get a WU after 10 or so tries ... best to Quit Folding software & restart it ... the increased Time delay with each future failed attempt is unacceptable
Or like many others just turn your PC off ... maybe Stanford will get this sorted before the end of the summer

@notfordman Oh boy, really glad I didn’t define short term then. Haha. In other news, it seems that WUs are getting easier to come by and the download and upload times are much better tonight.

my WU are still failing to download. not sure why i had the folding off all night give the cards a rest and just restarted and nothing.

Dang, I hope EVGA can cut some slack for the marginal Folders who usually just manage the 1st or 2nd tier. It's a special situation where our folding members can't get the work. Maybe a 1 time bonus if 5 EVGA bucks for folders that couldn't get work units durring the upsurge due to Covid-19.

It is not 21 million anymore. They changed it for year 13 Tier 1 : 10m (10,000,000) (5 EVGA Bucks) Tier 2 : 30m (30,000,000) (5 EVGA Bucks)

Anyone else getting a string of BAD_WORK_UNIT that fails repetitively while trying to get a new WU that makes them have to close out the service and restart it to get it to work properly?

Woke up this morning to a finished work unit. Unable to upload all day has now dropped to 16K points from 98K this morning. And I would just like its work to get to the server. My Gpus have not received new work since that one completed.

I can get a WU downloaded here and there if I am at the computer and can pause/unpause the slots when they are stuck without a download. From the FaH support boards, it sounds like they use the servers to do a whole lot of stuff other than just UL and DL work units to/from users. Hopefully they can get it fixed soon; this is an unbelievable position that they are in right now with how much support they have from the community. It would be a shame if the resources can't be fully realized to work on any of their projects, in addition to the SARS-2 initiative.

That is just not he best way to use all resources. FaH should make the WU & do research on separate servers. The Assignment & WU servers should only be used to give & take work from the Volunteer base. There bandwidth also has been exceeded ... slooow down / up load speeds Sad that I'm currently only doing 60 WU/ day ... because I cant get work to do for them ... was doing 129 -156 WU/day before all this The only reason I'm doing 60 WU/day is I'm baby sitting my Rigs & resetting all the time FaH should change the "retry timer" ... after 8 or 10 failed attempts .... the idle time between tries is troublesome at best

I second this. I woke up this morning and my two systems had only gotten maybe 4 WU overnight and were on a countdown of over 4 hours until next attempt. I understand a modicum of DDOS protection but that’s nuts.

Same problem here, I've seen the retry timer on my end go as high as 5+ hours. I then have to reset the timer. But overall, it's definitely better than the issues we had during this past weekend.

I have a WU sitting here thats been here since 7am yesterday Morning still. Unable to update. Im at the point where Im wondering if I should just delete it. The GPU its from has not gotten any work since.

got 1 WU yesterday and 2 last night. my 670FTW seems to be picking up work but that wont get me anywhere. my 1050TI is dead in the water and the 2080 got nothing. yep restarted still nothing.

Going back through my log and I see that even though my WUs finish in 50 minutes or so, I am only getting credited 7K-15K points. Anyone else notice that too?
