It is normal for a 980 Ti to do that at 80C.  People would more info about your case and how you cool you it with multiple GTX 770's in it.

We would need to know what your case layout is, your cooling situation, etc.  If you're really worried about points and cooling you could always move your cards to a hybrid solution.  That way you would never have to worry about heat ever again.  https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Bracket-Reference-Design-Graphics/dp/B01ALIU7AS You do need to get a separate cooler https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Hydro-Performance-Liquid-Cooler/dp/B00A0HZMGA/ref=pd_bxgy_147_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00A0HZMGA&pd_rd_r=TJEDEEDXHZX5H9TV9KFM&pd_rd_w=VyJcD&pd_rd_wg=E1net&psc=1&refRID=TJEDEEDXHZX5H9TV9KFM should work, as the 2 are usually bundled together.

Other is a Kraken G12 with a Corsair water kit as well.  https://www.amazon.com/Kraken-Matte-Cooling-Black-RL-KRG12-B1/dp/B06ZYHRMYP/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1498670977&sr=8-2&keywords=kraken+g12

Or if you don't like Corsair there is also https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Hybrid-GTX-980/dp/B0156R6TNI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1498670773&sr=8-5&keywords=980+ti+hybrid a nice all in one piece with everything nice and tidy.

These would be your best bet as finding an EVGA hybrid kit I think is impossible at the moment unless you check ebay.  Going hybrid will fix all your temp problems.  It does add a little more price to your current old cards, but  the last 2 of these should fit current 10xx series reference cards, so if you upgrade, you will be able to use these on new cards.

Another option for some folks is to run a no-case "open" type rig - they tend to stay noticeably cooler unless you put a TON of airflow on a closed case, and they save power 'cause you don't NEED the high-power fans to keep them cool.

Not recommended if you have small children or cats.

If you got water cooling yes you do got to worry about heat . Pumps go out all the time , I had 2 computers water cooled now only one is only good thing when my pumps have bit the dust I have not lost any thing yet knock on wood . Looks like I will just shut down when the tin can I live in starts to get over 90 .
     Thanks
