Any way to change EVGA LED color on 3080 XC3 without Precision/LED Sync?

I've tried everything I can think of to get Precision X or Led Sync to work so that I can stop the LED's from constantly changing on my 3080. Precision x fails to launch and LED Sync is empty. I've installed multiple versions, removed AppData, DDU'd Nvidia drivers and PCI-E limited to 3.0 mode.
 
Is there any other way to set or disable the LED lighting effects?
 
Currently using 457.30, but also tried with the previous release.

    I think you cant save color on XC3 cards only FTW3. You will need to run PX1 to use pref color.

    Just got mine and it saves. Opened PX1 and set the pattern/colors I wanted and haven't opened it since even after a couple restarts.
     
    Sorry OP I know that doesn't help other than confirming that it's an issue.

    Remove back plate and unplug them.

    I had a similar issue but it seems to have been fixed with the latest x1 update.

    I finally got Precision X1 to work, problem was another Zotac GT 710 video card apparently causing precision to not launch at all. Took this card out and it works finally! (I had this card paired with a 1080ti due to the triple monitor power draw issue, seems okay with just using the 3080 alone now)

    Buy a EK block then plug the header into your MB haha
