I am not a big fan of Precision and would like to adjust the LED lights on my 3090 FTW without using it. Is there a way to do this?

Yeah, I think I will probably have to do this. Maybe, I will just leave it installed and not use it except for to adjust the LED lights. I just don't really like to have software like this installed unless I am going to use it and I've always liked Afterburner better.

Yes. It's output, not input.

In some cases, for example, in flashlights or home lighting fixtures, there is a need to adjust the brightness of the glow. In these cases, PWM control is used. Its meaning is that the LED is periodically lit and extinguished. In this case, the current throughout the flash time remains nominal, so the glow spectrum is not distorted. So if the LED is white, the green shades will not appear. In addition, with this power control method, the power loss is minimal, and the efficiency of circuits with PWM control is very high, reaching more than 90 percent. In your case, you can try . You have a lot of choices in solving your problem.

Yes, precision is the only thing that can control the RGB on the card. Personally, I have always left precision installed but only open it when I'm making changes to the fan curve, changing lighting or using it for the performance monitor overlay function. It doesn't boot with Windows and I do not use it daily.

But don't you have to have it running to use your fan curve?

Only if I need to run a fan curve different from default which is not often.

My card reverts to rainbow puke after a system shutdown or, occasionally, just because it seems to want to. It only stops the unicorn vomit when Precision is relaunched. Is this because I'm using the control within Precision to set the LEDs based on temperature instead of going with a basic theme? (I might try setting a basic theme, then turning back on the temperature-based LED control to see if it changes the default?)
