I was a regular on the EVGA forums in 2008. I was the keeper of the OC threads on the GTX 280, 295, 260, and numerous others.  I still have both of my cards... GTX 280, and limited edition 295 in red. Well I am back, and about to load up with more EVGA stuff building a new gaming system in a few weeks. Still going back and forth if it should be a Ryzen, or a 7700K based system. I know it will be an EVGA PSU and GPU. Case must be tempered glass... Probably ASUS mobo... Anyway, glad to be back... Any old timers here from 2007?

We have a few old timers. I have been around longer then 2007 and I know a few others have over a decade of time on the forums. In fact I just saw someone celebrating 6000 posts and 11 years.

I don't know when my join date was. I lurk more than I post. But it comes and goes. Some years I post more when I have more time for my hobbies, some years I post less.

Yep, some old-timer's here. I referenced some of your gtx260 posts back in the day. I've reverted to lurking since the X58 Classified went end-of-life. Haven't been able to justify spending money on an upgrade :( On the other hand, proud that my major investments in hardware in the 2007 to 2009 time frame (which was way too much money at the time) have now long since paid for themselves.

We're still around.... ;) I don't even know where my old GTX 265 is anymore. Still folding on a GTX 480 Hydro, the thing is like a brick. It's just going to sit in a Hadron Hydro case folding away for 1,000 years. I got something much newer to play with coming on Monday.  If you're not looking at X299 and Sky-X then maybe it doesn't matter, but rumor is Threadripper launches in August. I'm waiting to see how that shakes up things. If you're going to keep the system as long as you've kept that Q6600 then you might as well get a big fat chip is my thinking, 8 cores minimum.
 Have water, will cool.
