So I broke the display on my work laptop. Long story short IT is dragging their feet and I need a display working now. The issue is i need a mobile display so I'm duct taping a portable display over the broken one. Yes, you heard correctly. So it take ancient drivers and when I install them I get a message from windows saying it wont run on windows 10. I tried to install them in compatibility mode and I get the same message. Anything i dont know of to get these ancient drivers to run on the windows 10 OS. Just to be clear, I have no issue installing the drivers, they just wont run once installed.
There's a specific reason I have to go this route, I have to be able to move from tractor to tractor. so giving alternatives wont help much if it's not mobile.
Also this is complicated by the fact work controls most of the settings. I can get admin rights for a period of time, but even then I wouldnt be able to access everything.
