I wish this project told us more about the research was for. Maybe I just couldn't find it.

Review the two site; amicable pairs & Amicable pairs list give you some info, kind of like finding Primes or Factors that are on PG. We are looking for Amicable Pairs. First amicable pairs found on the project There are already 15 new amicable pairs found so far after just 12 hours of crunching! Here is the list of new pairs: https://sech.me/ap/log/2017/2017-01-23/VOLUNTEERS%40BOINC.txtVolunteers that found each pair are shown in the order they found this pair. We are starting off well 13 Crunching@EVGA I started off at 43 Now 41 bcavnaugh

You mean posting that the project is making adjustments that affect everyone within a thread that is a general overall thread about that project is off topic? This was a mere statement that the project is making an official change. It is no different than saying when a new app is released or new features like badges are introduced. Lighten up bcav. What is the topic if not for this reason?

I was avoiding this one since I'm not as interested in mathematical projects but I'll join in for the event. I see in Amicable project prefs you can limit max cpus for the project. Is it better to just leave it unlimited and use boinc client cpu % to control, as described above?

I messed with that setting and found it easier to set your boinc client cpu %. In addition to that the gpu gives out more points/time (somebody check me on that) so I am running Amicable numbers on gpus and letting my cpus work up points on the DrugDiscovery project. I was really close to 1million on tn-grid but that will have to wait - the DrugDiscovery project badge looks way too cool rs

Drugs seems to like UN9 Over Win ATM for Tasks. As Far as Amicable I most likely will not run with this up coming event. Running Very Long Tasks on climateprediction.net ATM as well.
