Yup and they work reallllllly well. Higher clocks better temps than I ever expected. I'm sitting at 46c max at 2130 mhz to 2160 mhz on 2 360 rads

Lol results will vary. But holy balls. I didn't expect it to be that good. My friend with same card and 2 240 rads was getting max 58c same sorta clocks. We get power limited. I don't see much in terms of performance. But what I do see, in cyberpunk 1440p I'm getting very consistent fps and no big dips like I did on air cooler

Any signs of coil whine? I'm seeing some people complain about the EKWB 3080/3090 Strix backplate, although not much for the FTW3 version. I'm kind of in between Alphacool and EKWB for when my 3080 FTW3 step up eventually processes. I'm digging the multi-layer design of the Alphacool if the pictures on their site are accurate, plus it's cheaper with an included backplate. Pics of the block would be appreciated!

In my opinion ekwb is not worth it. Alphacools block looks better and performs better at half the cost if u include ekwb backplate and shipping. It's a no brainer

I am interested in this as well, saw even some people with alphacool post crazy good temps like 10 degrees over ambient under load but some around 50 degrees which is the average for most blocks.

I've had ekwb blocks on other cards. I've never seen temps this low with a higher tdp card. Also for the price. Why would you even look at ekwb block? It's almost 300 shipped.... I'm maxing out at 47°c on my card with 2 30mm 360 rads and a 10900k at 5.3hz all core.... My water temps are never above 40°c my d5 pump is usually 40% to 80% it's set on a own curve with water temps. Cpu of course will spike into 80°c but never above that which is normal for the 10900k...

So it's totally anecdotal, you have not compared them? That makes your performance claim completely irresponsible. A lot of people don't really care about the extra $50-80. They simply want the best performance.

Not caring about price...Best performance... I went stupid expensive and got a $400 USD Optimus block. 23c ambient temp. 3090 FTW3 idles between 23 and 24c. Stabilizes under load around 30c @ 2100 mhz. My system also has a 5900x using the Optimus AM4 block. CPU idles at 30c, and stabilizes under load at 60c. 240 and 360 rads, with Swiftech MCP35x.

I'd love to get my hands on an Optimus block with the XL backplate - it's really my number one choice. Now if only they didn't make like 5 of them at a time.

Yeah, ordered mine mid October, and just received it a week ago, but it is worth every bit of the time and money in both performance and looks.

So what about coil whine? Anyone who has blocks on their 3080/3090 have issues with that? I don't think the differences in the blocks will have any significant temp improvements, it has been that way for many generations. It's more important to have a well balanced system with decent rads, fans and pump(s).

So your gpu temp is same or around your water temp under load with Optimus? No offense, I would get if it's higher 30's or lower 40's but 30c is difficult to believe.

You got me curious here though. I dropped my card back to stock and am letting it sit for half an hour under load. Ambient is 23c. Currently sitting solid at 2010mhz. After 10 minutes, CPU is at 50, GPU is at 32.

After 40 minutes at stock settings, 100% load as reported in MSI Afterburner, GPU is at 2010mhz, 33c. CPU is at 55c in Ryzen Master.

XSPC v3... one rx240 and one rx 360 radiator. The fans are EK Vardars. The pump is a Swiftech MCP50x, runs surprisingly silent at full 4000rpm. Waterflow is pump-240-360-gpu-cpu-pump. The radiators are in the lower chamber, the five fans on the rads are cool air intake, with three fans for outflow, and it is largely isolated from the MB,GPU,CPU.
