The Ghost Who Stole Christmas

"The Ghost Who Stole Christmas" is a good one.  I also like "Bad Blood" with Luke Wilson as a country sheriff investigating vampires, where they ran much of the action twice, once through Mulder's eyes where Luke was a buck-toothed hick, and once through Sculley's eyes where Luke was a handsome charmer.

I started rewatching the series a while ago, and I was blown away at some of the episodes, even as it was my second time through.  
 
"Beyond the Sea" was among the best that the X-files has.  The acting was among the best of any episode (Brad Dourif is hauntingly evil as a serial killer), and Scully's monologue to Boggs still raises hairs on my arm.  It was the first episode that the writers attempted to portray Scully on equal footing with Mulder, and Anderson was more than up to the challenge.  It's even more fun that for once, it's Scully who starts grasping at irrational conclusions, and Mulder won't go down that road.

I cant remember the name of the episode but it is the one where Mulder is trying to tell Scully about some paranormal or alien something and she tells him there is some perfectly scientific explanation for it.

I don't know, I remember watching these as a kid and being freaked out. I remember an episode where 1 of the guys looked up into an attic and hung himself somehow...
 
I would run out of the house and watch it from outside most of the time, But this was over 15 years ago..... I haven't seen this show ever since.
 
Just because of that, I'm going to watch some episodes later tonight to see what it was really about and if it was actually scary.

I started watching last weekend and to today started on Season 6.
Before you start season 6 you need to watch the X-Files Move, the Frist One.

I haven't thought about X-files since it went off the air. One of my favorite shows from back then though. Great pick for the episode with Brad Dourif, what a great actor and waaayyy unacknowledged/underrated....especially for Deadwood, another all time fave for me, though. Im gonna have to go stream some X-files tonight and relive it again. :)

One of my favorite episodes is the one that starts out like a episode of COPS. I think it took place on Halloween and all these people were getting killed by different monsters in this one neighborhood. I won't spoil what it was for those who haven't seen it yet. I can't remember the name of that episode.

I think something... How much X-Files series had influence on conspiracy theorists as Flat Earth Belivers or similar things, Alien abductions, etc...
Now task of Writers and Directors of movies and series is to try to change because every day more and more people think that government lie them about everything
and had impression that someone evil is against them.

I can't find any good clips of it, but it's an episode where all the machines in a town tell their users to kill everyone. It's pretty hilarious and creepy.
 
 

Was never a David Duchovny fan but after watching Californication and Aquarius I think I'll have to give X-Files a chance.

Not on Netflix and only for rental on Amazon. May have to take your word and pay for it(just because Minnie Driver is in it).
