So my X299 micro 2 has a faulty Dimm slot, unfortunately I only opened it up at the beginning of this month and so is older than 30 days since a September purchase. Been told a standard RMA will get me a refurbished replacement, would this be the same if I went for an advanced RMA?

    Yes, the RMA type does not affect whether you would get a new in box or recertified replacement. Whether it is a standard or advanced RMA, the product would likely be replaced with a recertified replacement as it has been more than 30 days from the original purchase date. Our replacements are thoroughly tested before shipping out and if you were to encounter any issues with your replacement, our support team is happy to assist you.

    Ok, I'll just stick to standard then, should of just purchased this month rather than letting it sit on a shelf for a while.
