Look power section for overclocking 28 Core Intel on LN2. People will fall in trans when picture without top heatsink remove. Can you imagine Monoblock for this beast. This is high end, not AMD. https://wccftech.com/asus...28-core-cpu-announced/

This motherboard for people who can afford most expensive hardware. People who paid easy Rampage VI Extreme and i9-7980XE. Now ASUS say. This is for you best what we can make for new Intel 28 core and Six Channel memory. Not only that motherboard could cost 1000$ or 800$, but processors will cost 2000$ as well, Memory will cost 1000$. At least 6 DIMMs. At least 48 GB of memory. That mean customers will probably need to pay same price as two kits 4x8GB. Without that no reason to go on this platform. Waterblock will cost 250$ minimum, and I only could imagine his beaty... Maybe even something as EK Annihilator.

???? try 32GB a STICK - that means 192GB a bank and that means - around $2k at least

This motherboard have 12 slots, if we look 32GB DIMM, that's more than 350 GB memory. But lets' say people could use 48 or 48GBx 2 and price will be arround 1000$. Definitely this is test, for people who can pay i9-7890XE and RVIE they give task... Are you ready to pay this six channel motherboard and 28 cores CPU. That's probably this motherboard from before few months... Now let's how many people will bite on this.

Had one bad experience and now you're writing them off... right? Care to explain why they're so bad? :D That board is insane, and people who think the 28 core chip will be $2k are just as insane. There's no way it'll be below $4 to $5k in my books.

It's impressive but it seems like the kind of motherboard that will not sell that fast. With the war between AMD and Intel it won't be long before the bragging rights this system brings become old news. I don't want to sound like I wouldn't love to have it but it's really a system for someone that money is no option and I can think of few people who would really need a system like what this offers.

Went through 3 ROG z270 boards, maximus ix. 2 “hero”, one “code”, in a matter of about a week all were dead. They were moderately taxed but nothing extreme. All Caput. Slightest pressure near socket and... gone. No more DRAM signal. High flex and cheaply built. Gigabytes were workhorses that never failed. Don’t buy for “commodity” purposes anymore, Microcenter just happened to have the ROGs in stock last year when I needed a couple of boards.
I used to mine. Now I compute.

Personally I’ve never had luck Asus.
Much like AMD GPUs, they never work for me
So I won’t buy Asus either. I’m sure there are plenty of people that won’t buy the kinds of motherboards I like
More power to ‘em. Buy what ya like.

What the hell is going on with the 6 cpu power pins? If it takes 6 power pins, is it going to REQUIRE a minimum of ln2 to run at stock? This looks like an April fools joke released way too early. Edit, the good news is, they finally used a 6 pin for the pci lane supplemental power rather than a stupid molex. I guess that means asus is finally catching up with the world. But where is all the m.2 slots? Maybe on the back?

Hahaaaa, that's true. Generaly depend a lot of customer and region. Example in our region Western Balkan they have very strong present and if you have high end motherboards and push them little they hurry up and RMA could finish for 7-20 days. In some cases even 30 days. I never need to RMA their motherboard and don't what would happen and I hope I will never know. From other side EVGA now is present in Hungary and east Europe and people mostly buy EVGA power supplies and EVGA high end graphic cards. I mean on small number who can afford and If something is problem local store in Hungary finish RMA relatively fast, faster than our domestic sellers in Serbia. Biggest problem I see here is dual 24pin. If I need to find now to power up this motherboard only option I know is to connect two Antec HCP 1000 with OC Link and make them as one. For CPU she have more than enough power, 3x8 pin, dual 2x6 pin and single 4pin. That mean one PSU 1000W for Mobo and CPU, second PSU 1000W for SSD/HDD. Maximum capacity of memory and most powerfull CPU for this motherboard with her will cost maybe arround 7000-10.000$ depend did she work with 12 DIMMs 32GB. Than price go easy on 10.000$. This motherboard is build from one reason, to beat 32 CPU Core with overclocked 28 cores. They will build 100-200 of them and sell them easy worldwide. Imagine if your dad buy you Porche brand new for birthday for him is good day if need to pay 20.000$ not 100.000$ for best computer for his son. This is EK Waterblock for her. If you ask self why we not get such block, ask them, because it's nicer than any CPU block on market. And monoblock will be like him, he will cover VRM, CPU even bottom part with fan below heatsink. 3.3kg weight.

It's nice to see something like that... But I save money months to finish computer and buy one by one thing. That's not for such people. I think that most customers of this know less than we about computers, they laugh to us and live completely different life and dad could afford them best computer no matter how much cost. Because dad is happy if son want computer worth 20.000$, not new Porsche.
