ASUS has just announced two new IPS Full-HD monitors in 24" and 27" sizes, the VZ249HEG1R and VZ279HEG1R. These two new gaming monitors both feature refresh rates of 75Hz, a luminance of 250 cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1,000: 1, and a 1 ms response time. Input is barebones with only a single HDMI port and a D-Sub connector. The stands are VESA compatible with 75 x 75 mm mounting options and can tilt -5 to 22 °. Pricing and availability have not been announced.

I'm sure the price will be low but the lack of a normal DP port is very disappointing in my opinion.

Probably because it's only 1080p and DP isn't needed.

If the price is low enough, win-win for those on a budget that want IPS and 60hz+.
