Slightly behind NVIDIA's announcement for the RTX 30XX series, but it is my personal belief that GPU die yields at TSMC for AMD will be much higher than Samsung's GPU yields for NVIDIA. I expect AMD will have more stock in October for the release(s).

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

The test sample doesn't appear to be 16 GB capacity. It may use 16 Gb modules (as labeled), but doesn't appear to have 16 GB of capacity. But hard to tell for sure.

Well... if I have to tear down my rig to put in a 3090 I may as well plop a new CPU in there too.

3900X 4.5 GHZ on an Asus Hero
32 GB 3600 MHZ Corsair RGB Pro DDR4 RAM
1 EVGA 3090 XC3 soon to be Watercooled
2 2GB Corsair MP600's

The pictures of the test sample looks like it has way more than 8+1 phase power. More like 12+2 or something. Hard to tell. The skewed picture melting off to blurry focus makes my brain hurt.

The front-side rendering doesn't match the back side test sample pictures; not even close. Different memory chip layout and different power layout.

I would take both with a grain of salt at this point.

Have my money saved but not enough for a GPU & CPU.  Although currently I am content with some of the side/component/peripheral upgrades I did recently.  So maybe I can take my time with either a CPU or GPU upgrade and wait for reviews and holiday shopping.  I have still yet to consider upgrading my main rig if I upgrade the 3800X in my gaming rig, I could and would then be running 2 AMD rigs for the first time.

Never buy the first gen of anything. AMD Zen 3 is a sure bet, but I have little interest in the video card.

I'll be watching the CPU release with interest, particularly benchmarks, specs and prices around the 10 core level. I'm assuming PCIe 4.0 will be standard.

Not expecting anything mind-blowing with their GPU, but it will be interesting to see how much of an improvement it is over their last release, perhaps an indicator of things to come. I don't expect them to threaten the NVidia 30XX series in a meaningful way, but hey I'm not going to complain if they do - healthy competition is definitely good for us end-users..

I have heard there is an actual 10 core part this time, assuming AMD is actually wanting a direct comparison to Intel.
6c,8c,10c,12c,16c.... skipping 14 core for some reason. All rumors though.....

i am aiming for he 4000 gen because right now i am not interested in a new Cpu that i would need to avoid bottle necks... and with new cpu ( probably new socket) new mobo as well and new RAM ddr5 probably..
and by then pci-e 4 will be much more settled in the market.

i already made my investment last year. now i am aiming to 2023 or 2024 more likely for an overall upgrade

Latest Rumours on RDNA 2 card.... take with a load of salt of course

60% improved performance per watt (beating the estimated 50%)
GDDR6 memory. 16GB on one card.Not a 512 bit bus  Probably 256 bit
128mb of 'infinity cache' to make up for lack of bandwidth
No HBM on consumer cards
Clocks speeds up to the 'console level', ie implies 2.3ghz
80CUs for top SKU
6700 - 3070 level
6800 - around 3080
6800XT - counter to 3080ti
6900 - faster than 3080 and may 'nip at the heels' of the 3090
My take is it will be competitive but Nvidia will still be better.... Shocking....I know

Not enough salt in the world to get me to believe that. AMD isn't going to have a 3080 competitor with just a 256bit bus. Especially one using regular GDDR6 instead of 6X at that.

AMD’s Next-Gen Radeon RX 6000 Series ‘RDNA 2’ Graphics Cards Alleged Benchmarks Leak Out, As Fast As A Stock RTX 2080 Ti

In terms of performance, the alleged Radeon RX 6000 "RDNA 2" graphics card is around 20% faster than a heavily overclocked Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card on average. The card is about on par with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti which scores 63 FPS (6100 points) at stock but when overclocked, the RTX 2080 Ti scores up to 79 FPS (7800 points) which ends up being 25% faster than the alleged RX 6000 series graphics card. We don't know the overclocking potential of AMD's upcoming cards but it looks like we will be getting more specifications in the coming month.

Also while I do realize you are trolling AMD that is obviously not their top part(even if real)..... that is like saying the RTX 3070 is slower than a 2080TI thus Ampere is slower than Turing. Again I know you are just trolling AMD but just wanted to point that out to people that will take it out of context.

If that's accurate, then Big Navi is DOA and AMD again must compete in the midrange market. While being as fast as a RTX 2080 Ti is great they needed this 2 years ago when the RTX 2080 Ti came out. AMD's graphics division is a mess, they really need to get their stuff together and release intended competing products on time. This is AMDs answer to RTX 2000 series.......2 years late to market.

Funny how fast people speculate the worst for AMD after the success of Ryzen🤔. Salt or not haters are still throwing the all i know comments😹. It s an unknown GPU clearly it can be misleading in many ways.🙄

Funny how fast people speculate the worst for AMD after the success of Ryzen🤔. Salt or not haters are still throwing the all i know comments😹. It s an unknown GPU clearly it can be misleading in many ways.🙄

The CPU and GPU are very different things when it comes to AMD. I've already said in this very thread that I'm interested to see what their new CPU line specs will be, and I've said elsewhere that I may well switch from Intel if they are really good. I also said in this thread that I'm not expecting anything mind-blowing with the new AMD GPU, but I'm not going to complain if they do pull something awesome out of the bag. That's not hating in any way, unlike the hundreds of posts you've made in these forums hating on Intel and NVidia. Practice what you preach - your hypocrisy is disturbing. As far as saying to take rumors with a grain of salt - that's just common sense, or at least it should be...

So far AMD was never able to keep up with nvidia top tier gpus peformance.

but..who knows?
either way the money on  the land is in the mid-range level on the xx60's and xx70's that people usually buy most!
and nvidia knows this or they would have not announced a 3060 Ti already!

mid-range is the new TOP range!

at CPU LEVEL AMD surprised everyone. more and more and more AMD CPU's rigs out there that's for sure.
so why not?
RYZEN was successful!
besides if in the next 3 to 4 months many are gonna upgrade to new gpu's then... AMD cpu's ARE DEFINITELY on the table.
