I always kind of felt, that AMD was a bit nutty and slightly suicidal. But this is a pure suicide in VGA sector :(

In general. You can have twice the power consumption, mad and hardly coolable dissipated heat, 10-15% lower performance in games compared to 1080Ti FE basic clock, which cost: 753e with VAT.

So weaker, hotter and more powerhungry graphics card, cost ~170 - 250e more.
 
Why in the hell did AMD do this? They're ONLY chance was to sell that piece of crap for 300 - 400 eur with VAT, and steal some of the market. No, they didn't. They're simply selling glutton for heat for significantly more, than their competition is.

This is pure madness and a suicidal behaviour on the side of AMD. Not sure what they want to achieve on the GPU market, but happy gamers aren't within their masterplan. Maybe miners, or something. But I doubt that too...

It's one of the biggest computer hardware stores in Central Europe, with origin in Czech Republic and dominant [monopolistic position] in Czech Republic and Slovakia. Yes, prices will be slightly lower, but nowhere near GTX 1080 Ti low, not by a long shot.

I'm really not sure how AMD plans to compete with Nvidia, with higher prices and lower performance per watt/dollar [euro]/everything...

Hopefully the pricing was a place holder and is only an error. I am not sure how well Vega is going to do in the end, but we definitely needed Vega to impress to get Nvidia pricing under control.

From the presentation of AMD, where AMD is comparing RX Vega 64 Liquid to 1080Ti FE on stock settings, and Fury X, I'm pretty sure where we, as consumers stand on the field of performance. Now the only thing I'm worried about is pricing itself. I called to the shop [alza], the prices are very unlikely to change, maybe some 10-20e's up or down tops, according to the alza operator/representative. I believe it's one of the lower prices, that will be present on the market, since there's also marketeers like these:

AMD's prices here in the states seem competitive....sort of. Nvidia is driving the bus when it comes to how to price their tiers. So AMD follows suit mostly.

I got a Vega64 today on newegg.
It was 580ish +120 for the game bundle but minus some cash... Its all very complicated but i got a vega 64 and two AAA games with it for under 700 bucks. But you gotta pay if you want to play first.

The high prices aren't set by AMD, they are not benefiting from this craze at all.
