AMD Ryzen 9 7950X gets $150 price cut for Black Friday. AMD flagship Zen4 desktop processor is now even cheaper than before.

We have been reporting on massive price cuts for Ryzen 7000 series in US, EU and UK, but it appears the price cuts have gone even deeper. Amazon now has a limited time sale on Ryzen 9 7950X at $549.99, the cheapest it has ever been. AMD Ryzen 9 7950X is a Zen4 CPU with 16 cores, it is currently the most capable AMD desktop processor and also the most expensive one still. Or so it was before this week’s sales went live. At this price, the 7950X is actually offered at the official MSRP of 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X, which technically means you are getting 4 more cores at no additional cost.

On the other hand, Ryzen 9 7900X has also received a price cut to $473, while 8-core and 6-core Zen4 desktop CPUs are now sold at $349 and $249 respectively. This means that AMD’s 7000 CPUs released less than 2 months ago are now at least 15% cheaper.

MD Ryzen 7000 series on Amazon:
Unfortunately, it appears that this week’s sales are only for the Black Friday Week and will go back to original prices soon. AMD has now even removed the label ‘New Low Price’ from the official store, clearly indicating that those sales will end and are not permanent. In any case, this might be the best and last chance to purchase new AM5 CPUs before AMD announced its Ryzen 7000X3D series with 3D V-Cache, or Intel releases even better priced counterparts.

If you want to make an AMD AM5 mod this might be a good time to save money while doing so.
