The results have appeared simultaneously at two different forums. AMD flagship Ryzen 9 5950X, which is a 16-core and 32-thread CPU has allegedly scored 690.2 points in a single-threaded benchmark and 13306.5 points in multi-threaded. For comparison, the Intel Core i9-10900K, which is an 10-core CPU scores 584 and 7389 points respectively.
Meanwhile, the 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X has allegedly scored 650 single-core and 6593 points in a multi-threaded benchmark.

These are not the only benchmark results that have been leaked, just yesterday we reported on PassMark scores where the Ryzen 9 5950X took the top position in the single-threaded benchmark. AMD is set to release all four Ryzen 5000 SKUs on November 5th.

November 5th just can't get here fast enough for me.

My body is ready for that 5900x. It's really the only thing left that I need to get my new build usable. I can limp along with my 980Ti for a while until I can grab a 3080/3090.

5900x is the sweet spot CPU to get.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

I have had a 6950x for almost 4 years in my primary machine.. I think the 5950x may become a part of my system soon, if they are available at launch.

This is making me rethink my sim/vr rig.  5900x/6900xt, but it'll probably be available in 1 qtr 2021.  Thought I'd get a 3090 FTW3 for the sim rig and a 3090 KP for my desktop, but a red/green line up may be worth waiting.  The bots and shortages turned out to be a good thing.  Only thing missing from my sim rig is a GPU.

Sigh.... My 1950x thread ripper rig is so outdated now...
Guess that means its time to upgrade!!!
