From a rumor I was told it is faster than intels best X299 processor the 18 core i9 9980xe in cinebench multi core and single core. Single core seems obvious but multi-core.... could be overclocked and the 18 core not.... or could just be a crap rumor. It has been posted on an early engineering sample cinebench R15 multi core at 4.25 GHz all core was over 4300, either way IPC jump seems impressive.

The 3900X is 499 dollars so the 3950X will be more expensive but the question is "How much more expensive?" Also will this CPU release on 7/7 with the rest of the new Zen 2 CPUs?

The only question is will it be able to run the most demanding games? Can it run Watch Dogs 2? I will definitely be looking forward to AMD Ryzen 3950X!
My ideal future setup with AMD Ryzen 3950X, AMD X570 and an EVGA GeForce PCIe 4.0?

Indeed, though even the base processors should ace gaming (as indicated by the incredible performance of the ryzen 5 2600 with only falls behind intels core i5 offerings by a mere 10-15%).
Again things are looking up for AMD, the move to 7nm may indeed pay off.
Interesting times to be sure

Looks like available September from the live stream. Also set new world records(overclocked of course) Cinebench R15 16 core 5434 Cinebench R20 12167 Geekbench 4 Multithread 16 core 65499 Comparison of 12 core 3900x in gaming to the 9900k

Depends on GPU I suppose, do you think a 2080ti can push more than 429 FPS in CSGO? This of course is both at stock and the 16 core does have higher clocks than the 12, I honestly thought the 9900k would be better still at games like CSGO, I am actually surprised it is being beaten. Memory overclocking seems better. .JPG)
