AMD revealed its Radeon RX 6000 series graphics card reference design. This card will likely be AMD's flagship product based on its RDNA2 graphics architecture. The card features a refreshing new dual-slot, triple axial fan cooling solution that uses large new high-airflow fans that have webbed impellers, and an aluminium fin-stack heatsink that spans the entire length of this roughly-30 cm long card. A variation of the insert with the Radeon branding was teased last year. This is AMD's second reference design with triple axial fans, after the Radeon VII.

The card features two 8-pin PCIe power inputs right where you expect them. Display outputs include a pair of DisplayPorts, an HDMI, and a USB type-C. Since air exhaust is guided out of the top of the card with its fin-stack arrangement (and none from the rear I/O), AMD has a sealed I/O shield like the Radeon Fury. AMD partnered with Epic Games for a Fortnite treasure-hunt map that lets you see a 3D model of the card in from more angles. We'll spare you the treasure hunt with a video by Anshel Sag.

YouTuber JayzTwoCents revealed photos and renders of graphics card featuring AMD RDNA2 architecture
Jay also provided an actual photograph of the graphics card. Later in a video, he also reveals a dual-fan version of the same cooler design, likely to be a cut-down version of Big Navi (21).

Well, it’s good to see that AMD included stuff that NVidia decided was useless. Like tech reviewers have stated, hopefully that USB-C port is either thunderbolt compliant or can work as a display out since VR-Link is no longer getting any love.

I also wonder if the HDMI is 2.0 or 2.1.

It will be good to get more information rather than a fork-knife only look. Thankfully JayzTwoCents has better picture than fork-knife, and went into detail about how AMD is targeting two year old tech with their brand new tech. I really hope the performance isn’t competitive against two year old tech since the aesthetic design team didn’t get the updates.

You dump enough salt in this forum to fill an ocean my friend, so if I need any, I would just request some from you. I look forward to AMD’s numbers being posted, but I don’t hold my breath for any company that styles their product after a 2 year old product, especially a company that competes with old tech.

Old tech🙄 at least the company you are referring to is not like the greedy company that does not provide or care to supply a required 12pin connector for their new cards to be released this year😂😂. So much for market share being high and can't supply a requirement connector the irony of not using common sense🤔

If AMD could take the advantage, it would help everyone, but if AMD keeps chasing old tech, then AMD will always have to go with the lower price and lower performance.

I guarantee they aren’t setting their prices lower by choice, because they showed in the past that they wanted to charge more and they couldn’t compete at the same price point, and within a couple of months had to lower their prices.

Not to mention their atrocious driver packages.

If AMD wants to fight the budget battles, good on them. But if they want to actually take the lead, they need to fight today, not yesteryear.

A flagship GPU challenging a competitor's 2 year old GPU?  This must be a joke right?

Did you expect anything different?  I didn't.  The rumors for these cards have been "slightly better than the 2080 Ti" for like almost a year.
AMD is looking to make money from the mainstream.  That has been its modus operandi for a long, long time.
I feel like I have corrected you on this time and time again.  You keep not listening and keep not tempering your expectations.  If you refuse to adjust your expectations, you will always be disappointed.  Or, in this case, always have a reason to complain about a AMD video card which you never planned on buying anyway.  Move on already.
The only thing I find disappointing so far is that they didn't release it a bit earlier this year.  I was expecting it to release in spring/summer rather than fall.

It is my understanding that TSMC orders were full so this slowed deployment. AMD has a big challenge ahead due to NVIDIA's improved pricing as compared to last year's models.

Improved pricing? Nope, you been duped. AIB prices are already creeping up, the Master for example is now £799, increase further when all FE are gone. These cards are so niche, now they are super niche, 99% are not paying anywhere near that. A) Because obviously mid range is the dominant sellers, and B) Some have morals and won't be taken for mugs. Although, mine is going straight on Ebay, so I'm a bastard anyway.

notice the last pic - no vent holes out the back

so all the hot air stays in the case

To be fair, the vented rear slot on any card with length wise heat pipes and fins Never vent out of the back. It was an optical illusion. Don’t fall for that.

Not a big fan of the red. It's ok for some builds but it feels forced on others.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

Eh? I think you accidentally posted in the wrong thread or something.

Guys, who cares for what it looks like when it's upside down in most chassis'?  Some of you are so petty, it's a box with colors, no different than literally thousands of shrouds and fan configurations over the past decade.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].
