AMD "Navi 10" is a very different GPU from the "Vega 10," or indeed the "Polaris 10." The GPU sees the introduction of the new RDNA graphics architecture, which is the first big graphics architecture change on an AMD GPU in nearly a decade. AMD had in 2011 released its Graphics CoreNext (GCN) architecture, and successive generations of GPUs since then, brought generational improvements to GCN, all the way up to "Vega." At the heart of RDNA is its brand new Compute Unit (CU), which AMD redesigned to increase IPC, or single-thread performance.

Personally I'd want to see the performance results.

Specs: AMD 2920X Threadripper, Corsair MP510 M.2, 64GB Corsair RGB Dominator,  ASRock X399 Taichi, Corsair 1000D, EVGA RTX 2080 Black

Well if its 20% more than a 2070 it should be around 10-15% better than a 1080ti.

Might consider two of these if that's actually true and not just a bunch of bluster.

    X399 Designare EX, Threadripper 1950x, Dual 960 EVO 500gb Raid 0 bootable, Quad Channel 64gb DDR4 @ 2933/15-16-16-31, SLI 1070 G1 Gaming, Corsair RM850x, Tower 900

I would be interested in the benchmarks and game performance. Not really liking to hear they are not supporting on card ray tracing.

It does support on-card ray tracing. The DirectX DXR extension supports GPU compute accelerated ray tracing on any DirectX 12 supporting GPU. NVIDIA 10 series added support of DXR, for example. Just because it doesn't include purpose-built ray tracing compute clusters doesn't mean that it doean't support "on card ray tracing". It is still technically "on card ray tracing", even if not as fast due to lack of dedicated ray tracing compute clusters. How much faster or slower it is at ray tracing is yet to be seen; we don't have any performance numbers for anything yet. In many ways, ray tracing isn't a feature used widely enough to matter at this point. In the future, maybe.

RT is starting to be picked up by more devs and possibly on the next consoles.  If that happens, RT is happening folks.

They said that about Ryzen because Intel upped the Mhz.

i consider their CPU is in a much better position

AMD put all their chips here(investment into their cpu division) and it shows - if you happen to listen to Raja koduri about AMD investment went into their cpu - NOT gpu division
and it's one of the reasons he left AMD

basically they sacrificed having a future good gpu's for a GOOD CPU NOW

Doesn't mean Navi is dead. Matter of fact, the release of Navi and Turing before it doesn't mean Pascal is dead. You're speaking from a personal perspective.

I don't doubt Nvidia's new lineup will dominate the market but to recognize competing products as dead before release without a comprehensive argument is imperceptive.
