AMD has unveiled new details about its highly anticipated family of Vega enthusiast graphics cards, which are only a couple of months away. The company held a technology summit in China earlier this month. For upcoming enthusiast GPU's, you'd think 8GB vram would be min. on the lower end models, and go up from there on the high end.

Well, HBM2 has limitations on density unlike GDDR5 and GDDR5X. Yes it would be nice to have more but that will come later when HBM2 is further or with HBM3.

That would be very disappointing right off the bat if that is the only vRAM configs.
As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

4gb wasn't enough on fury and 8gb won't be enough on Vega. Wen the games ask for more than 8gb, just having a faster 8gb doesn't cut it.

Not only is it irritating to get teased for six months with "around the corner" comments and non-pertinent facts from monthly releases, but it just makes Vega feel like a big lead up to another bust.
I'd rather go back to the old way AMD saying nothing at all until launch day.
 Have water, will cool.
