And this is what's been blurred:

Wow, watch the AMD CPUs dancing in that chart.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Tried to snag a new Threadripper today and they went out of stock in less than 5 minutes. Not lucky this time

I was going to ask you about that.  When I first saw this thread...I asked myself if you would get one.  Good luck...I really like your builds...

Lol, how can anyone say now AMD is better than Intel, when Intel launched 3960X way back in 2011. AMD is 8 years behind.

Here's a good video.  JayzTwoCents did an install of the 3970X.  Quite enlightening...

Apparently you haven't been reading reviews of both Intel's and AMD's latest processors. Threadripper 3960X and 3970x have gotten steller reviews and I've read or watched about 25 of these. Intel has absolutely no answer at this time to what AMD Threadripper in the HEDT genre. I have also read multiple reviews of Intel's 10980XE which are lackluster.

The problem here is that Intel is still trying to push out performance at 14nm for desktop PC CPUs. Next year should be a different story if Intel can start delivering on a 10nm node. However by that time AMD will already be making their new CPUs at an improved 7nm process and maybe even at 5nm.

For a good chuckle!  If Intel wants to stay competitive...they may need to adjust their pricing.  Unfortunately, for Intel, you pay more for less!  I have X299, so I feel compelled, BUT...prices will have to come down or I stand pat...and then keep putting $$$ aside and upgrade much later to new platform

You obviously didn't notice the "/s" at the end.
