Alright so I’ve searched and looked all over the internet and I’m coming to the conclusion that I’m screwed.

So my videocard just crapped out on me literally burned up. The motherboard seems fine and boots up but it only ever gets to post code A2 and stops at a blank screen. I’ve unplugged everything but my ssd, I’ve double and triple checked all my connections. I guess all I need to know is if my computers finally crapped out or is there something I can do I have the x99 classified and the 5960x with no on board video to try not using a video card.

Have you tried a complete BIOS reset? Meaning, take out the CMOS battery,  hold the CMOS reset button for 30 seconds. Leave the battery out for 15 minutes. Reinstall the battery and attempt to boot. Also, try testing with just one stick of memory.

Clearing CMOS as described above in Post #2 would be the first thing to try.

    Enter your Post Code

A2: IDE Detect. A2 is also CMOS Checksum Error. This will occur if the CMOS has been reset or cleared. When receiving A2 code, press F1 to skip BIOS setup or F12 to enter BIOS

The X99 Classified has a Triple-BIOS..The BIOS switch is located directly below the 24-pin ATX power connector, near the replaceable BIOS chip..Power off to try another BIOS.

Forum Search (Top-right of page) for "Code A2" will yield lots of results that have been resolved in various ways.

Just some more info here for you..Good luck.

I'd see if you could find an used GPU on ebay and have that as a back up for testing or what not.

Yeah I was considering doing that although if it won’t get passed the a2 error I’m not sure if the motherboard is fried or it’s just having an error with something else because I had a 980 ti and after that died I put in a 560 ti I had lying around and I’m just stuck wondering what it could be I’ve tested all the slots, redone all the connections made sure everything’s connected properly but nothing but a2

How long have you had this board for?   I ask to see how long you've used your components for and if you're within the RMA window.

Also, have you tried the different BIOS's on the board?

Nonetheless, I would strongly advise on replacing the CMOS battery if you've already taken the steps in post's #2 and #3 and done extensive testing to see where the issue may lie.
