I am looking at buying the Z390 Dark Motherboard but would like to know what size of CPU Cooler would fit into the board.

E.G. can any of the following fit?:-
1) Scythe SCNJ-5000 Ninja 5,  or
2) Scythe Mugen 5 SCMG, or
3) Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 CPU Cooler?

Does anyone know or is able to give me the measurements (min. &/or max.) around the CPU area of this board (including distance to memory sticks & IO / heat-sinks) so that I can check the above?

I tried EVGA support but got the following message "Hello, Thank you for the message. Unfortunately we would not have the specifications for the are outside of the CPU Socket. IF any of those were going to fit then I would imagine the 2nd cooler: Mugen 5 Cooler would fit as that does not seem that is a really big cooler. Really all three coolers should fit but it is a bit hard to tell. Best Regards, EVGA".

Very disappointing that the manufacturer does not have the info???

Thanks

George

What'd you end up doing ?  I'm looking use a CPU air cooler but it'll have to be sideways if that would even fit.  I really don't want to use an all in one liquid cooler cause air don't leak.

I have a Noctua U12A mounted on my z390 dark. The heat pipes just rub against the rams. Be careful of their heat spreader height though. I'll post photos when I take some later tonight.

I just finished building a system with Z390 Dark and installed the Scythe Ninja 5. The case the board and fan went into is the Fractal Design Define R6. No problem with fit, plenty of room. Just have to raise the fan in the back slightly but other than that it works great.
