Thread, Thread, Rise from the dead!
I have a 980ti ftw card. Running the card in debug mode results in a very high clock speed that will 100% crash or hard lock my system. Debug on this card is madness, so that is not an option. I have the original bios that came with the card. (84 00 41 00 91) I have the clock set to 1330 by underclocking it by 50mhz. I have been playing with the voltage settings and it seems somewhere around +40 is the best spot.
I did this "underclock" because at some point in the past years I noticed that the card was running at 1354, iirc, boost for some reason which is not at all correct for the 980ti ftw. It is not stable at that speed. I don't know when that happened. I have disabled the windowsI have enabled KBoost with Prec X 16 (that was the one that was out at the time) and tried force constant voltage with MSI Afterburner. KBoost works. However I cannot force constant voltage. For instance, in State of Decay 2, if I open up the base map, the demands on the card drop and eventually it will deviate from my desired voltage of 1.212. It will either go to 1.193, or 1.23something. What I would like to find a way to do is to force the damn card to stay at 1330mhz 1.212v. If it shifts up to 1.23x it is unstable and that's tied to temperature or load, idk. If it shifts down to 1.193 it might be stable. If it stays at 1.212, though.... no problem. Just stay put dammit. Any ideas? I know there are some custom BIOSes on the forum here but I haven't tried those yet. If I could edit the power curve myself somehow I might be able to sort it out. Any ideas or links would be appreciated.
